Looks awesome bro! I'm definitely purchasing it. 👍🏻

Jess, I like what you have created. I think it "fits" the Colecovision and it has that style. I spent a lot of hours playing the Atari 8-bit computer version of this game. I would love to see a version on the Colecovision. (and ADAM ) Do you think you will continue?

Custom firmware for Atari Gamestation Pro
big_guitar replied to Brad_from_the_80s's topic in Dedicated Systems
Well there are some image files used stored under 3-rootfs\usr\local\share\minigui\res\images, but changing anything significant beyond images would be more involved. I'm not sure if that paddle games section allows for the title png or how many images it permits. Ideally we'd want to draw out the entire minigui folder data (& perhaps other folders) to sdcard to allow for manipulation, if still using the main GSP app interface. For example, the file fg_paddlegames.png is used, might be able to replace that png file and keep the name the same, but how the section displays the game information on that page is a separate matter. The music and selection/navigation tones are kept under 3-rootfs\usr\local\share\minigui\res\music, would be nice to change some of the default tunes (Track1.mp3 through Track4.mp3) There are many funky things happening when you turn on the system, temp files and I believe one or more mounts are established at run time.- 237 replies

I got this 520 STFM with Arabic TOS 1.2 (SAUD) ROM. I'm planning to backup the ROM chips for emulator use and would like to know how to do it properly. Is there any thing other than removing the chips, putting them in a rom reader and click read? Thank you!

That's tidy! Not a fan of sub-full-size HDMI ports, but that does provide a non-destructive solution without a dangling wire. So your friend desoldered and removed the original RF jack? I haven't even opened up my 800 and Sophia kit yet.

Few seem to be willing to make a 3D game that is a hardware pusher. Unless Iron Soldier 2 is as good as the Jag can do in terms of 3D. I'm not a programmer, and don't understand a lot of the programmer talking stuff, I need visual representation, outside of that, I am lost lol

List of 2600 games with boss battles?
Living Room Arcade replied to sloth-machine's topic in Atari 2600
@ultima was kind enough to respond to a PM about the boss fights in his 2018 adventure-type homebrew, Sword of Surtr, and he assures me that, yes, several of the bosses in the game do meet all 3 of our criteria. So... Sword of Surtr added! -
Jumping at Shadows: Moth-Line Contest! ***NOW LIVE!***
Clint Thompson replied to Machine's topic in Atari Jaguar
I would consolidate the highscore list to each players single highest entry at this rate lol Looks like I’ve got another month to get a grip on this game and hopefully a score higher than 5k (or just a hair above 7,565 as it stands) …may the cursing continue 😂 -
there's a copy of it running at https://fujinet.online/fujifind as well. if you get a blank result, it's due to bots that are spamming the search. haven't figured a way to prevent that yet

Polaris is also very very good. Tigervision do the best labels too -

I’ve been interested in playing these! I don’t have any Tigervision games! Have to do some game hunting! -
Bonobos work together better. Kinda gets messy, though.

I know I'm bumping an old topic, but I was looking at a book I have called "How to Repair Video Games" by Robert Goodman (from 1978). I was thinking of scanning it and decided to do a search to see if it has already been done. And it has. Here's the link: https://archive.org/details/how-to-repair-video-games-robert-goodman/mode/2up I was trying to find out what was used as the game chip for the 5000. Unfortunately, this book stops at the 4000. I'm putting this link here because it has some really good technical info in it on many (not all) Odyssey units. Including the original Odyssey and 100-500 (I think) & the 4000.
