PitfallJones
I guess that you didn't notice our scan of the Espial cart either... Where's your scan - got a link you can give me?
www.atarimania.com
Not sure what you mean exactly... We already gave you links to pages on our site that had specific cartridge information, both for games and applications, some (as I wrote) with quite unique scans or ROM files. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
PitfallJones
Here is a Diamond GOS cart pic in case you still need it. Sorry for the rough shape - thats how I got it Excellent Thanks - I didn't have that one.
deathtrappomegranate
I guess that you didn't notice our scan of the Espial cart either... Where's your scan - got a link you can give me? Espial cartridge, box and instruction manual scans, with ROM dump and game information can be found here: http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...VERSION_ID=1878 You can find any A8 game page by typing the game's title (or a part of the title) into the box at the top of the screen (where it says, "enter your search query here"). If you're working from Krieg's list, you should bear in mind that it's out of date.

And I see my mistake now - I thought that espial shot you have was of a box because the picture doesn't have any border around the cart or an obvious cartridge connector at the bottom like most carts. Added it now thanks. So is that picture you have of Ducks Ahoy actually a cart as well? - PJ

deathtrappomegranate
Very nice - Thanks - only 18 missing pictures now. Hmmm. That depends on how comprehensive you want to be. For example, there are eight Expando-Vision cartridges, and not just the one that's suggested by Krieg's list. Also, some titles have more than one variation. Astro Chase is an example. You have a scan of the Parker Brothers version (which only works on the 400/800), but there is also a version by First Star, produced for the Max-A-Flex arcade machine, which works on XL and XE machines (a scan is also available on our site). Of course, there are also a few label variations, but we don't want to sound like 2600 collectors...

Yeah -- I have to admit gigacities seems verly slow to connect this weekend (I have to re-click links sometimes to get it to connect)- but once connected the page comes thru. They were down for a short while on friday - maybe they are having server issues. Their quoted bandwidth is 300GB a month which should be ample (and the traffic to the site has been far below that). Does anyone have any other recommendations for free hosts? - PJ

Of course, there are also a few label variations, but we don't want to sound like 2600 collectors... Well my primary motivation was to discover which games were available on cartridge for the 800. I started by looking on ebay and then discovered atarimania and atariage's archives. So now I've got 281 bins of which there are now only 16 missing pictures. I've also now got a further 27 pictures without bins. (+ sinistar with no bin or picture - a bin was posted here at atariage but it doesn't seem to work). I'll probably extend the page with label variations in the future, but for now it sort of works like a 'virtual collection' - locally I have the cart pictures page linked to the bins so clicking on a cart picture automatically runs the game in an emulator - great fun! And I can slowly build up my real collection with the best games I discover..... - PJ
PitfallJones
Hi, I've added pictures for all the 5200 (105) and 7800 (77) carts as well now. http://pitfall.gigacities.net/ - PJ
deathtrappomegranate
You should remember that the several of the carts you have pictured are not, in fact, ROM cartridges. For those, there will never be a dump available.

nosty
Hi, Sorry for my poor English. I collect Atari 8-bit games and I take their pictures from any sources. Unfortunately I have pictures of cartridges and screens only but not scans. I can't find in Your list following cartridges: - SuperSALT Diagnostic Cart - SALT Diagnostic Cart - Ham Pack - Pocket Modem (from Bot Engineering) with modem - 1400XL/1450XLD Telecomunicator - A/D Converter (from MIRAGE polish company) - Gold Mine (from Spectravideo) - Pronto - Startrux (prototype) - Fast Food (prototype) - GhostCART II (from Island Software) - aDawliah NA021 Arabic-English Dictionary (arabic cart) - aDawliah NA031 Educational Programm (arabic cart) - aDawliah NA012 (arabic cart) - aDawliah NA033 "How know computer" (arabic cart) - aDawliah "Programing Quiz" (arabic cart) BTW: First two "ATARI GAMES" cartridges from Your "Missing Rom" list are multigame cartridges hand-made from arabic cartridges aDawliah with additional ROM memory solder on original chip. I think they have arabic words on back like on this picture: I have one cartridge like this from Egypt. I carefuly take off label and under I found label of aDawliah NA031. And see picture I took from Arabic seller: And finally I have or I seen a various versions of labels. In exapmle BC's Quest for Tires with early white label or australian/tasmanian versions of Activision games like River Raid. Greetings.
