Impressive!

Love the Video Grow carts, the green Digitel cart and the funky looking Galactica cart (never seen that one before).

I'll update our database with your titles that are not already in it (some 15 carts at first glance).

8)

Thanks Rom Hunter, if you need a better picture of any cartridge, just let me know.

It would be great if you could make raw front scans of your Canal 3 / Intellivision and Cosmovision carts, but I don't know if you own a scanner.

BTW: all titles are added to the database now, except for the Galactica one.

Which game does it contain and what does the end label say?

A very interesting looking cart indeed.

Is it possible to make a better picture of it?

Hello Rom Hunter. It's hard to take a good picture of this cart, with flash terrible, without, bad.

Even with scanner the picture was not so good.

I took some pictures without flash with ambient light:

Sr. Ferraz,

I'm a Brazilian, too, but I'll write in English in respect to the other members of this forum.

This is my first day as a registered user on Atari Age, and I probably don't have half of the knowledge that you do on Atari history.

Anyway, I could recognize some of the pictures that you posted on the topic and I must say that I was very, very much pleased to see them. It's simply BEAUTIFUL!

As I have said, I'm not a very experienced collector -- in fact, all that I have is an old (but still working) Atari 2600/Polyvox and a couple of cartridges --, but I'm really interested in learning more about it: from where to find good old stuff to buy here in Brazil to the basics on how to fix and preserve hardware and software.

So, if you don't mind, please send me a personal email (doassis@hotmail.com) or other kind of contact through which I could reach you and exchange some more information... in Portuguese!

Again: congratulations for your work!

D.

Dear friend Rom,

Many manufacturers put the wrong name in their cartridges (Dactar is one).

The correct name is Mickey ("Mickey Mouse"), the original name of the game is 'Sorcerer's Apprentice'.

Recently I've bought an Atari 2600 console that I had never seen before.

The console is made out of plastic, injected in a thinner way with a low-quality finishing, the upper part is an only piece ( the part where there are keys is included, someone has labelled it using the same words of the American version), there is no logo on high relief, neither in the upper part nor in the front one.

The making is a low-quality one, there are details of internal finishing which have been stuck with glue.

The part where there are connections and keys are round hollows (circular) with information in Portuguese, silver coloured.

In the lower part there are no round details for the rubber "feet" and there is an aluminum tag showing the data in the name of Milmar. Two closing screws are in the lower front, but the rear ones are not in the lower part, they lie in the back part where the connections are.

The board is internally stuck by two black screws - like the rear ones- as it can be seen in the pictures. Afterwards, it can be closed with two other black ones in the rear part and two light (silver) ones in the lower front.

The powder protectors and keys finishing are made out of fabrics, not plastic or rubber.

The board has the shield plate where the integrated circuits are and below it there is a code which identifies the production in 1983... and the detail SAYFI !

Sayfi Computadores (Sayfi Computers) was the name of the company that manufactured the cartridges with name 'Dactari'. Then, the company changed its name to 'Milmar' (Changed the name of the cartridges for "Dactar").

I believe (I think) this is the first console manufactured with name "Milmar". It's working !

Below I put several pictures of the console and power supply, including open and board details.

My friend Marcus Garrett released a book this year about video games (1983: O Ano Dos Videogames No Brasil >>> "1983: The Year Of Video Games In Brazil"). Excellent book, see the picture below.

He put in his book some rare images of old magazines about the launching of the console "Dactari" manufactured by "Sayfi Computadores".

Below I put the images of prototypes, Marcus informed me it was released.

Dear friend Rom,

This cartridge is not mine, I took pictures and information for auctions (lots with multiple cartridges, some images are bad).

The name of the game is "Futebol".

I put the image of the cartridge below, can not see the number...

>>>> I added the image of two cartridges from the manufacturer Video Jogo (Page 9).

 Excellent weekend !!!
