S.BAZ
*! BONUS ROUND !* Welcome to a bonus High Score contest! There will be as many games as there are players and everyone will have a chance to compete against everyone else. Four days only! The winner gets an Atari game Here's how it works: Play any* Atari 2600 game that we did not play during Season 6 (and isn't already in this contest) and post your score as the initial HIGH SCORE for that game. Other players will then have the chance to beat the HIGH SCORE for more points. Please follow the usual general High Score Club rules for fair play. * It must also be a game which is available to everyone... so, rare games, homebrews and prototypes are ok as long as the rom is released and easily available. * It also must be a game (or special setting) which has never been rolled/maxxed in this High Score Club. If you are unsure, check KaeruYojimbo's Atari 2600 HSC Online Database or my All-Time High Scores chart. Rules: Each player gets only ONE score submission for each game. Your first qualified score posted for any game will be the only one that counts. You may play any game as much as you like during the contest period, but the sooner you submit your score, the more points it will earn you. Also, the later you post your score, the more points other players will earn by beating it. You must post an initial HIGH SCORE to be eligible for the contest. A score of zero will not count. You must specify clearly the Game Selection and Difficulty Settings when submitting your initial HIGH SCORE so that everyone else can be sure to use the same game mode. Otherwise it won't count! If someone's initial HIGH SCORE is a rollage/maxout, then any further scores matching that will be treated as beating the HIGH SCORE. Finally, you can win more points if no one beats your initial HIGH SCORE before the end of the contest. Scoring Submit your initial HIGH SCORE on Friday: +9 Submit your initial HIGH SCORE on Saturday: +6 Submit your initial HIGH SCORE on Sunday: +4 Submit your initial HIGH SCORE on Monday: +2 Beat the initial HIGH SCORE in a game started Monday: +9 Beat the initial HIGH SCORE in a game started Sunday: +6 Beat the initial HIGH SCORE in a game started Saturday: +4 Beat the initial HIGH SCORE in a game started Friday: +2 Post your score for a game and it falls short of the current HIGH SCORE: +0 --> Each successive time the HIGH SCORE is claimed for a certain game, that will earn +2 more than the previous toppling did. No one beats your initial HIGH SCORE from Friday: +9 No one beats your initial HIGH SCORE from Saturday: +6 No one beats your initial HIGH SCORE from Sunday: +4 No one beats your initial HIGH SCORE from Monday: +2 Example 1: -- Player A picks a game & puts up a HIGH SCORE for that game on Friday. (+9) -- Player B beats that, claiming the new HIGH SCORE. (+2) -- Player C then beats that new HIGH SCORE. (+4) -- Player D beats that. (+6) etc. Example 2: -- Player A picks a game & puts up a HIGH SCORE for that game on Monday. (+2) -- Player B beats that, claiming the new HIGH SCORE. (+9) -- Player C then beats that new HIGH SCORE. (+11) -- Player D beats that. (+13) etc. Example 3: -- Player A picks a game & puts up a HIGH SCORE for that game on Saturday. (+6) -- Player A's score remains undefeated. (+6) I forgot to mention! You also get (+2) for ending up with the final HIGH SCORE in any game that someone else started. The deadline for beating HIGH SCORES is 11:59:59 PM (EST) the evening of Monday September 11th. The deadline for submitting Initial HIGH SCORES is 2:59:59 PM (EST) the afternoon of Monday September 11th. (This gives other players a chance to beat your score.) The deadline for a score to count on a particular day is 11:59:59 PM (EST). Ok everybody got that? I hope this works, lol. Alright... Begin! S.BAZ
can it be a game from this season if it is a different game mode? No -- Only games we haven't been playing this season already. But, if it's another game that has been rolled you can use an alternate setting. also, if I post a score but someone in a previous HSC had a higher score do I still get points? Yes !
