Mats90245
I purchased a nice Colecovision Lot today for $40 and it turns on, but wont play. Any suggestions? I cleaned all the contacts with rubbing alcohol and that about does it for my expertise. Initially Donkey Kong looked like it would play, but the screen got all crazy. Now they all give me the screenshot I showed in the photo
Mats90245
I stuck to my guns and kept cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol. Success!!! A working system with one fully functional controller and working Trak Ball. The steering wheel doesnt move left or right. I opened it until and it looked ok, but honestly there wasnt anywhere to apply rubbing alcohol. Im wondering if I have some unseeable corrosion in my battery compartment. It looked clean and I put in some Cs, but Im guessing the wheel isnt getting power.
NIAD
Congrats on getting the CV working! As far as the Driving Module, let's ask some obvious questions first... Are the C batteries you are using good? Do you have the Driving Module cord plugged into joystick port #1 and then a Hand Controller in joystick port #2? Does the gas pedal accelerate the car in Turbo and you can shift from low to high gear with the hand controller? If there isn't something obvious, then the Encoder on the Driving Module PCB has probably gone bad and it's not an easy fix although someone recently did find a replacement Encoder and posted about it in one of these threads.

The C Batteries are new from the package. I’ll retry and make sure it’s plugged into the correct ports and see if that helps. The game pedal does accelerate the car, but I didn’t know about the shifting with the controller. Will try that and post an update. Thanks for your input. Its greatly appreciated.
