+acadiel
You'd need a copy of the PAL coding to do a board run of these. . .And DBT locked those too. Someone would have to figure out the logic from the PCB, or decap the PAL and fix the fuse so it can be read. sparkdrummer
Even stranger. attaches to the expansion port and requires some sort of power?
+Ksarul
I have one of those. I probably need to scan the manual for it, since I haven't seen that one posted anywhere. It uses the same cable as the other DBT cartridges with print capability.

Opry99er
Flottman, it's pretty tough to tell exactly where each of those lines is going. Do you happen to have a meter to ohm out the pins?

Opry99er
That is a good picture there. Thank you! What about the other end of the cable? Can we get a great picture like that one of the cartridge end?
Opry99er
Oh okay, I see. It's crimped in-line. Nevermind

+Ksarul
And that makes a lot of sense, based on what I saw when I did the schematic for this board a while back. I'll have to add a page with the cable pin-out.
sparkdrummer
One would assume that the Paraprint cartridge I had uploaded images of would have the same cable setup?
+Ksarul
It does. All of the DBT boards used the same parallel scheme.
+acadiel
Thanks for the pictures, Flottmann! I just purchased one of these... will put one of these on the end in place of the IDC connector, and I will be in business!
+acadiel
I made one. It works! Since I only had IDC connections, I had to use a PCB to bridge the connections, as they go in a different order on the IDC Centronics connector. (1, 19, 2, 20, etc). Note that pin 1 on the edge connector is on the right side of the Miniwriter cart. Also note the ribbon on the Centronics side is backward. Pin 1 is not the red stripe. Oh well.
