So I decided to take the plunge and give new atari a chance.  I like the Retro Products.  Good on them.  I went to the website, signed up,  got the code (15% off - ALLEGEDLY)...I put 11 Items in my "Bag",  which I assume is a Shopping Cart, and there's no way to CHECK OUT!

The "Bag" doesn't scroll (mouse or arrows) and only shows the top 3 products...I can't even see my total!   If there's a way to check out I can't find it.  I've been all over that website!  I contacted them so we'll see what they say.

ATM I guess "Atari" doesn't want my money.

I don't celebrate until the 25th,  which is the Actual release date...But if you want to celebrate early with all the poseurs on this made up, cash grab, cutesy (May the 4th be with you oh) "holiday"...I mean I was 9 years old,  I remember Watergate and end of the Vietnam War and where cinema fit into the geoandsociopoliticallandscape (As I used to call it)...I knew a seachange paradigm shift in Entertainment was on the horizon when I saw it...No need to celebrate early to placate corporate America
      4. GoldLeader

I mean,...When I first saw Star Wars,  I felt like it gave everyone something to believe in,..It was a new hope ...    (uhhhh)

    • I get that as Atari console fans, we aren’t necessarily modern gamers. However, PC gaming is just about exclusively run on Windows OS.   There really aren’t any AAA titles available for Mac and I honestly haven’t looked at gaming under Linux in a while but I would assume it’s still hobbled by running as emulation through Wine.    Ultimately, gaming is still centered around Microsoft and so it doesn’t surprise me in the least bit that the update path for a gaming system would need to go through the OS running in the most homes and the one most associated with gaming.    I will continue to say ‘to each their own’. There is no requirement to own a windows system. But in this case, the compromise you’ll need to make is living with FW 1.0.    Full disclosure, I’m a Windows Systems Admin and DevOps Developer. For all its faults, I still prefer Windows server in many cases.
    • I am guessing there is some file that is not being found.  And looking at your screen shots, it is before the first screen so I can not say what file it may be.   You can use CTRL-S (pause) and CTRL-Q (continue) to pause the screen display to take a snapshot.
    • Better score at Kaboom! 1,379   Also Bumper Bash: 4,370.  (Honestly, it's a nice pinball simulation, but I'll always prefer good old Video Pinball.)

    • I couldn't get this working on my Pico PEB.  SAMS burn-ins failed within the first 7 pages of the test.  I started at 250 mhz and 1 NOP, incrementing mhz and NOPs by 2 and 1 respectively.  I stopped at 266 mhz and 9 NOPs.  No luck at all running.   I went back to the prior firmware and all is well.   edit: testing was done on the silver and black TI only. I didn’t test on the other consoles.
    • It's my latest purchase - a Panasonic AG-7350. My "good" S-VHS deck is a Sony SVO-5800.  It has an internal TBC (Time Base Corrector).
