FFS... any more it is just easier to tell people I like "Star Wars" just so I can move on and avoid the onslaught of "omg!?  what don't you like about it?  why?  really??  what about the mandalorian?!  omg!!"

You don't like it? OMG, what don't you like about it?

But you at least like The Mandalorian right?   I mean it's like a Western,  but it's Star Wars!
      3. GoldLeader

Serious question:  What do you like?     (No judgement)
      4. OLD CS1

@GoldLeader Less and less.  But, the original trilogy, when Star Wars was new wave, not neo-scifi.  My buddy and I were thrilled about Episode I, but he had to just about tackle me back into my seat when the whole "mediclorian" thing came up.

        My responses to a few:

        - My mother is a saint! (Yes, I translated)
        - I have never liked or subscribed to any Youtube channel.  I browse not logged in. I have the ones I like bookmarked.  Previews with a guy doing "O" face is an instant not watch.
        - Tron Arcade is one of my favorite games.  I miss the one I used to own.  I sold it knowing it would eventually not work - someone else's problem.  The movie is also great.  I love Tron Legacy and occasionally still watch it on my still working 3DTV with glasses.
        - I would take a '63 split window Corvette over a Viper.  But not the new ones, I would take a base '92 Viper.
        - Chipotle's steak is way better than Qdoba's.  Never had a complaint about the chips from either side.

    • So this is funny I feel it’s a tad slower but I can control my character better. I could be wrong on the speed but it’s not enough to make any difference to me. I haven’t played enough to be sure. But I like it!   Good idea with tv zoom!
    • Good to hear. I have a PC but I am sure there are Mac users who do not.   I did not see anything on the official Atari site saying an update is on the way or if it is a feature of the 2600+. Only the passionate and curious can find the info here.    I am just thankful an update is being worked on to support my paddle and paddle game investments, support for my Pitfall 2 cart, and the ability to buy all the great homebrews out there.
    • I do agree with you but then reality hits you when you are in charge.   Re-issues are easy and sell well enough to warrant bringing to market. I think though it looks like further 2600 re-issues will be multi game carts. With single game carts being for 2600 new games or ports and 7800 games   1942 would only be possible due to a generous offer from the devs and IF Capcom were interested and IF they asked for a reasonable MG. Ghouls and Ghosts may well have a proof of concept, but there are no current plans to finish the game and what are we talking here... 1000 hours to finish on a per hour rate - no chance its financially feasible with the current forecasted game unit sales.   Rikki and Vikki is a no brainer, but we havent even got the game running on the 2600+ for me to even think about approaching this.   Bottom line for me is that homebrew 2600 and 7800 scene is amazing and one filled with people that are full of passion, they while the hours away mostly as a hobby. I dont think anyone if driving off in a Lambo and thats the rub, the amount of hours needed to make a game with the quality of the titles you mentioned at the moment just costs too much vs the return on investment....this could all change though.   Arcade ports are interesting and have been talked about a lot. Maybe one or two are being worked on at the moment.
    • "Decades later Atari has decided to fix E.T"   You might be on to something....
    • I will add it doesn't have to be A list arcade ports, obscure lesser know ones are super fun too
    • Well,   member HighKali who had just one post (back in April) here at AA wrote me a pm in italian language: "CharlieChaplin perché non mi rispondi? Sei l'unica persona ancora viva che può parlarmi di mio papà"   Since I do not speak nor understand italian language I had to use Google  translate or DeepL to translate it into german: "Charlie Chaplin, warum antwortest du mir nicht? Du bist die einzige noch lebende Person, die mir von meinem Vater erzählen kann" or in english: "CharlieChaplin, why don't you reply to me ? You are the only living person who could tell me something about my father."   This had nothing to do at all with the Abbuc software contest and I thought its some kind of spam, password fishing or something in that direction, so I did not reply. Writing to me in a foreign language that I do not understand (and have to translate first) and then wanting me to tell something about his/her father without mentioning his father's name or his own real name - would you reply to this ?   I did not reply and I still wonder what this all has to do with the Abbuc Software Contest.  I am sorry, but I don't want t be an emperor, errm, I am sorry, but I need more details or background information before I want to reply to such a pm. Furthermore this pm was repeated three times, thus I was sure it is just spam and if AA had a spam filter, I would have set it on that pm.   So, to make a long story short, if there is some serious interest in a) the Abbuc Software contest, then let me know or b) you seriously want me to tell you something about your father, then please first of all, tell me who you are (your REAL NAME) and who your father was (again REAL NAME) !

    • I have been cleaning up the sieve benchmark code written in ASMForth. I am beginning to think I am onto something with ASMForth, which is a "Machine Forth" written specifically for TSM9900 versus trying to shoe-horn Chuck Moore's CPU architecture onto the 9900.    I expanded the translation table at the top of the source code so here is a syntax side-by-side comparison.  \ TI Assembler ASMForth Equivalent \ ------------------- ------------------------- \ MOV R1,R4 R1 R4 ! \ MOV *R1,R4 R1 @ R4 ! \ MOV *R1+,R4 R1 @+ R4 ! \ data \ * n/a HEX \ MEAT EQU >BEEF BEEF CONSTANT MEAT \ LABEL DATA 0000 VARIABLE LABEL \ LABL2 DATA >DEAD CREATE LABL2 DEAD , \ TABL BSS >100 CREATE TABL 100 ALLOT \ LI R0,MEAT MEAT R0 #! \ AI R0,7 7 R0 #+! \ MOV @LABEL,R4 LABEL @ R4 ! \ MOV R3,@LABEL R3 LABEL ! • Have You Played Atari Today!   Today’s game is Skate Boardin’ for Atari 2600. Earlier in the thread I posted about Super Skateboardin’ for the 7800. I wasn’t aware of the 2600 version until recently. Two different stories and objectives. This is a PAL version I’m playing. But it is available in NTSC also.   I really like both the 2600 version and the 7800 version! 🛹
