      A few games I discovered recently.

      Death Match A two player fighting game by @MemberAtarian link ROM

      Death Race Patreon Home version of the arcade game by @salzmafia.com link ROM

      Hellway 2 Players Edition A true split screen racer by @Octavio Pinho Bokel link ROM

      Skee-Ball 2600 Home version of the classic arcade game by @salzmafia.com link ROM

      Tron Home version of the arcade game by @orange808 link ROM

      1. Living Room Arcade

        Death Match In the whole of the Atari 2600 library, maybe this is the only arcade-style, 2 player, head-to-head fighter.  There are power ups!  And I think you get bonus points for smashing buildings and killing civilians like in Rampage.  Truly one-of-a-kind in the Atari 2600 library right now.  Looks like a real gem!
        Death Race Patreon Death Race was a controversial arcade game from Exidy in 1976.  Never-the-less, a home version of it for Atari 2600 seems to be in demand and Death Race Patreon looks to be a pretty good home version.  There are 1 player and 2 player versions, 1 player vs. CPU and demo modes.  What a gem!
        Hellway 2PE In the whole Atari 2600 library, maybe there isn't another racing game where two players go at it head-to-head like in Hellway 2PE.  (It looks like Street Racer, but look again.  It's so much more!)  What a gem also!
        Skee-Ball In the Kids' Arcade category, AFAIK, we only used to have Whack-a-Mole (Holey Moley and Tap-a-Mole), but now we also have Skee-Ball!  What a gem also!
        Tron.  Wow!  There's so much more to this game than tanks!  This home version of the arcade has four screens: Tanks, MCP Cone, Grid Bugs and Discs of Tron.  What a GREAT home version of the arcade game IMO!
      2. GoldLeader

        That is Awesome @Living Room Arcade!  I appreciate the time and effort you've put in here.  I don't keep up enough, admittedly...THX Again!

    • While grabbing my popcorn to enjoy the debate on MasterCard apparently employing a programmer who didn't believe in using comments to do their backend, here's a little snippet of code I've just come across to allow relocatable code (relocatable as in write it to an EPROM then plug that EPROM anywhere in the memory map). It uses a BL to determine the start address of the code, then uses indexed addressing to address the various data. I thought that was neat.   LWPI >FF90 LOAD W.P. LI R1,>045B R1 = RT INSTRUCTION BL R1 LOAD R11 WITH ADDRESS OF NEXT INSTRUCTION AI R11,-10 ADJUST TO START ADDRESS MOV R11,R10 R10 = BASE ADDRESS ... ... ... XOP @CRLF(10),14 XOP @BANNER(10),14 OUTPUT BANNER/DATE BL @BOUNDS(10) SET MEMORY BOUNDS ... ... ...
    • The new firmware brought my WTR and VidGrid to life!  Thanks SainT!    Plus I converted about 5 or 6 more .cdi games, so I have quite a bit now. I am going to test the rest of my card to see if redoing the conversions works better. I just finished checking through the letter "I".
    • This is where you lose me, you're upset on behalf of a hypothetical person in a hypothetical situation that hasn't happened.
    • Oh, yes!  @Eckhard Stolberg Mr. Stolberg mentioned that he shared information about Cubis on the Stella developer mailing list on Biglists before the Atari Age forums existed.  How about that!
    • When the error occurs you should LIST 7640 and then LIST 898 and then list 1500 to make sure they are all still in memory They might all be on file but get corrupted in memory once it is loaded.
    • I don't have their disk image, but I looked at a version 1.1 that I have.  Line 771 exists in two files, ISLAND and LGDN/MON.  Both files are almost the same but have some differences.  But the lines in question are the same in each.   island 771 CALL AT(P3$,K3,P,TD) :: @C=@C-K3 :: IF @C<1 THEN GOSUB 7640 :: IF @N=0 THEN 1500 :: NEXT V :: GOTO 898 898 NEXT X 7640 DISPLAY AT(15,1):" THE MONSTER IS DEAD" :: @I=@I+1 :: @N=@N-1 :: @C=@H :: CALL LINK("A",2) :: FOR N=1 TO 10 STEP 2 :: CALL LINK("A",0) 1500 CALL LINK("A",0) :: CALL LINK("A",6) :: CALL W(" ALL THE MONSTERS ARE DEAD ooooooTHE PARTY GAINSooooooo",14) lgdn_mon 771 CALL AT(P3$,K3,P,TD) :: @C=@C-K3 :: IF @C<1 THEN GOSUB 7640 :: IF @N=0 THEN 1500 :: NEXT V :: GOTO 898 898 NEXT X 7640 DISPLAY AT(15,1):" THE MONSTER IS DEAD" :: @I=@I+1 :: @N=@N-1 :: @C=@H :: CALL LINK("A",2) :: FOR N=1 TO 10 STEP 2 :: CALL LINK("A",0) 1500 CALL LINK("A",0) :: CALL LINK("A",6) :: CALL W(" ALL THE MONSTERS ARE DEAD ooooooTHE PARTY GAINSooooooo",14)   Since they ran the program fine for months and apparently for 6-8 hours at a time, and I ASS-U-ME they haven't changed anything to the system over that time frame, this makes my hardware spider-sense tingle.
