        My responses to a few:

        - My mother is a saint! (Yes, I translated)
        - I have never liked or subscribed to any Youtube channel.  I browse not logged in. I have the ones I like bookmarked.  Previews with a guy doing "O" face is an instant not watch.
        - Tron Arcade is one of my favorite games.  I miss the one I used to own.  I sold it knowing it would eventually not work - someone else's problem.  The movie is also great.  I love Tron Legacy and occasionally still watch it on my still working 3DTV with glasses.
        - I would take a '63 split window Corvette over a Viper.  But not the new ones, I would take a base '92 Viper.
        - Chipotle's steak is way better than Qdoba's.  Never had a complaint about the chips from either side.

    • Reviving an old topic, but I have always felt that some of Coleco ad's tried to look pretty similar to the WarGames Protovision ad as well.  For reference, here are some details for the WarGames Protovision ad:   https://mw.rat.bz/wgmag/   There's two Coleco ad's in particular that come to my mind...   First, this one from the back of the first Colecovision Experience Magazine:   And second, this four-page spread for the Coleco Adam:   It's this second one in particular seems really similar, given how both ad's are four page foldouts done mostly in black and white.   Obviously it's not possible to draw a straight line from Coleco's ad's to the WarGames movie, but I feel that someone at Coleco may have done a bit of borrowing here....
    • The original Atari UK power supply should be providing around 5.2V at 1.5A and is fine to use as the potting compound tends to preserve the internal components.     @flashjazzcat is right. Don't do it! Dont apply power with the PBI shield flopping about like that. It needs to be removed or secured in place with screws.   I was wrong about the DRAM manufacture though, but it is strange that you have 4 each of two different manufacturers.   Examining the motherboard, all 40 pin chips except the PIA are socketed so may cause intermittent problems as they are single wipe sockets i.e. have contacts on only one side of the pins.   I notice there has been fluid under the shielding at points around the ground plane. At the top and the right hand side. Do you know if this was purely from condensation or was there an accident?   Although there is corrosion I can't see any apparent damage to the motherboard at this point, although C76 and C77 look a funny colour?   There is also a foreign object just above U7 C021698 pins 26 & 27 which is probably not relevant, but shouldn't be there.   When you remove the PBI shield could you take and upload a photo of the underside of the board please?   Then please apply power and see if the self test is still showing bad RAM?
    • if not too late, I am in the USA and have 300+ carts (both 2600 and 7800). Be glad to help test.
    • The IO board itself that the socket sits on is most likely also be getting a design revision as well, changing up the MCUs and some tracing re-routing.
