Still deciding if I want a PS3

I'm still struggling with whether or not I want to get a PS3...is it really going to be necessary given the fact that I already own a 360? How many exclusives is sony going to have this time around? It seems like almost every title is going to be available across both platforms (for the most part). I'm not sure that graphiocal differences will be a big enough deal to make me take the plunge.

I own both a PS2 and an original XBox, and found that I didn't have many Xbox games simply because there were so few exclusives. It seems like that gap is closing even more with this generation.

I have always been someone that played games on every platform. I'm not a Sony hater, or a MS/Nintendo fanboy. I just don't know whether it's going to be worth it to go with Sony this time around. Honest opinions would be appreciated...though I'm sure it will deteriorate into fanboy flames :|

Well, if you aren't sure, then wait. I would have waited on mine, but I thought "it's here in the store and I have the disposable cash, why wait?" Because of that, I don't even own a game yet. (Unless you count Blast Factor and Gran Turismo HD)

I'm fairly sure that Namco/Bandai will be cranking out their signature games for it. History tells me that Tekken is a Sony exclusive, and I wants me some Tekken. Hopefully Gundam Musou will get a US release date, because it seems cool. For the past two generations, Sony has been more open to RPG releases than the competition. So, with it's potential and the track record of the brand, I think it's a fair investment for the next 5 years.

Still, my purchasing of the system without even a game I wanted is a big anomaly in the scheme of my console purchasing. And the last time I purchased a console based on what might come out in the future was the XBox, and I ended up very disappointed in that purchase.

So, my advice would be that if there's nothing you want now, then definitely wait. Just check back in often and see what has developed.
