Gregory DG
Larger capacity hard drive in PS3 coming. So now with the 20gig (to be discontinued), the 60 gig, and now this one, there'll be THREE PS3 configurations to choose from. Good thing Sony isn't fragmenting the market like MS did... Well, if they're discontinuing the 20 gig models, then there still will be only two SKU's not three.

The article you linked said they are CONSIDERING a larger capacity harddrive. Maybe once they have some content on the PS Store that would require more storage space they will release a PS3 with a larger harddrive installed. Anyone who can read the instructions supplied with thier PS3 and use a screwdriver can upgrade to a larger hard drive if they wish.

Leaving out a hard drive is much bigger than changing the size of the drive or leaving out built in card readers and wi-fi.
