Hi,

can anyone tell me where to get an STBook Laptop power supply, or advise of any standard power supply that might work.

I'd even settle for a pinout diagram so i could try and make my own... or a contact of someone else who owns an stbook so i can discuss it with them?

Thanks

JT

I tried Best but because the STBook was never released in the US they do not have any parts.

But I will have a look at the other website....thanks

Boy, you'd think people never heard of atarimuseum.com or something:

okay, the power supply is a autosense AC input 100-240v 1A power brick

DC out is 16v @ 1.25a

Battery charge out is 12v @ 1.2a

Looking into the connector, the top 2 pins are the Vdc and the bottom center pin and the outer plug ring are GND.

The power supply appears to be a generic Phihong, its part# is PSA-4642A

Mouser Electronics has a fairly comprehensive selection of power supplies or try a lot of the on-line electronic surplus websites and you should be able to find something in the 12-16v range at 1.25 amps.

It's a french ST Book I just picked up. It's in really nice shape, but it is missing the A/C adapter. Apparently it needs a special one so this might have to stay as a museum piece. It also lacks a floppy drive, so transferring data to it will be difficult. Really nice laptop though.

I do believe that I pestered Phihong about this years ago, and they indicated this particular model was specific to the ST-Book, but hopefully someone can find something similar that can be used as a replacement.

BTW, there is an Atari hard disk cable available for the ST-Book, which may help transferring data. Before that I think I used a null modem cable.

Best Electronics does have a few parts available on their Stacy page:

Cheers!
