classics
Anyone have a disk version of Spy vs Spy that works properly in Atari800Win? All the versions I have display the menu, but the menu goes away immediately. If I modify the Atari800Win source so that trig0 returns: byte = 0x0E | (TRIG[0] & TRIG_latch[0]); instead of: byte = TRIG[0] & TRIG_latch[0]; Then the menu works normally, but this does not seem to be how trig0 reads on a real machine, even though these images work normally on a real machine. Any ideas? Steve
Allas
what do you mean? an ATR file? Because I haven't any problem with XEX version on emulator.
+remowilliams
Here's the most 'complete' looking one I have. Has the intro title screen, and works correctly on real hardware. The menu doesn't appear/disappear immediately in Atari800Win, but rather seems to crash. Hey, at least it's something different. I've tried it with 3.1 and 4.0 with the same results. Steve

wanner251
ya it seems to have something to do with the controller fire button being stuck... because after the menu appears for a split second, the white spy (you) constantly has his weapon drawn which means the fire button is pressed... makes no sense why that would be... If it's inactive, the game hangs after loading; otherwise it works as classics described. remowilliams, are you perfectly sure that this version works on real hardware? What is the model you're running it on?
wanner251
OK Here's another interesting thing... In the emulator, try loading the game first... let it skip through the menu like it always does... then do a cold reset... voila it doesn't repeat the behavior.... the menu acts normally like it's supposed to... weird

I tested it on my 1200XL (XE BIOS) loaded from the ATR via SIO2SD.
