aftermac
If you can't find a game switch, your best bet might be to open the Odyssey and switch the cable. From what I understand, there is a standard RCA plug on the inside at the other end of the cable, so it is very easy to switch it out with your own cable. Recycled
Are you talking about not having ANY rf switch? My O2 works with any standard switch box....or using a coaxal adaptor works on new sets as well.

The only problem is that the console end of the cable is a short jack RCA plug, while standard on the other end. You can swap out an Atari 2600 cable very easily however, and no one will be the wiser.

My O2 works with any standard switch box....or using a coaxal adaptor works on new sets as well. Certain O2's have a non-standard connector on the video cable that is not an RCA jack. I have two O2's, one of them has this non-standard connector and the other has a standard RCA connector. The one with the non-standard video cable also has removable controllers and a different power supply jack than my other O2. If you have a non-standard video cable the easiest thing to do is replace the cable, as the switch boxes that support them are pretty rare. I didnt try taking it apart. Its just like the atari inside (well?). I just took off that weird wire and attached a normal rf switch wire and it works great, well it is the odyssey so Great is not the best word. All of my games work, except for the computer programing one. I also realized that I have both versions. The hard wired one, and the not hardwired one. I took the wire from the non hardwired one to the wired one and closed it up. I would still like to get the authentic rf switch just to have a complete system. Anyone? video game addict
I've owned a few O2's and the all had the funky RF switch. Mine were hardwired joys too. I swapped out the cable on a couple myself that later went to ebay, wouldn't surprise me if many have been done this way and the new owners aren't aware. One possible lead for the original RF switch if you want to stay with that, is to hunt down any of the early Magnavox pong systems as most of those would have included the original switch box as well. You could pick one up on ebay for cheap, possibly just pay postage on the switchbox if you didn't want the whole system.
