Curt Vendel
does anyone know what became of the first pong system that was used in andy capps in CA. Al Alcorn the engineer who built it for Bushnell still owns it, its in the hanger of his private plane in CA. I have several photo's of it in the coin-op section of the Atari Museum website. Curt Vendel
cool now to see who owns other #1 s no? Well according to Nolan when he autographed my Pong coin-op a few years back while out here in NY he said that the numbering system Atari used was purposely cryptic, but he was fairly certain that my Pong was either the first production unit or one of the first 100, he couldn't remember for certain, here is a link to some photo's, the game was in some really bad shape and took several weeks of TLC to bring it back to near factory fresh: http://www.atari-history.com/arcade/pongre...estoration.html Curt
dheine1971
Andy Capps I guess was a bar to house Nolan Bushnell's Pong and not a Chuck E. Cheese's forerunner
SumerNivek
Does anyone know if Andy Capp's is still in business?
swiftj
Apparently it's now a comedy club, Rooster T. Feathers. One online enyclopedia entry (regarding Nolan Bushnell) states that there is a "mention on the wall of the establishment of the very first "Pong" being installed there". The More You Know!
