darthkur
The name's Bond, James Bond. While at a briefing at MI6 headquarters M has given you a most important assignment that will take you all over the world. From Las Vegas to Sardinia and the Ocean's depths to the Greek Islands you will be surrounded by danger. Never fear for Q has bestowed upon you one of his most ingenious inventions. It's a Lotus Esprit that is not only fast but is submersible and is heavily armed with both surface to air missiles and bombs. You're definitely going to need it. Especially it's ability to bound over the many obstacles you will encounter. All of your highly trained skills will be called upon for the various goals you must achieve to ensure the worlds safety. From landing on a heavily fortified Oil Rig, bombing an underwater fortress while at the same time rescuing a rival agent in an escape pod, destroying orbiting satellites carrying deadly poison to docking with a sunken ship while under siege. This is your greatest challenge 007. Don't let us down. Emulators are fine as is whatever controller you feel the most comfortable with. Screenshots are great but not mandatory. Settings: Novice. NoahsMyBro
Wow, that's a tough game! I managed to score 550. I didn't take a screenshot, because I figured I could surely do much better than that, but so far it just hasn't happened. (cue the Will Shatner tune...) Hopefully I'll improve later in the week. darthkur
I really is a good game but certainly a challenge. Just takes some getting used to.
roadrunner
11,600 It would be nice if i could shoot down that green space ship thing. Somehow i was able to land on the oil rig. I don't know if i can do it again. I took this pic of level 2 shortly before i died. Edited May 24, 2009 by roadrunner

darthkur
Somehow i was able to land on the oil rig. I don't know if i can do it again. I took this pic of level 2 shortly before i died. You were able to land on the oil rig since you cleared the structure and landed upon the round object that signifies the landing area. Think of it as "X marks the spot". It's also used in the final stage on the sunken ship. On level 2, where you're at in your picture, the tankers can not be jumped over and therefore you need to submerge and go underneath them. Sadly the chopper is like the satellite in the first stage and can not be destroyed.

NoahsMyBro
Man - I got to that level just now for the first time, and forgot I could submerge! Got to 6450 though.
+Cafeman
3,250 after 2 play-throughs. Still think this is the worst 5200 game.
ckirkman
24,750. I am a 002. I played for about an hour and a half. I think once you get used to the control of the Lotus it is actually enjoyable.
NoahsMyBro
8,500 This game isn't as awful as is often said. It's not the best game ever burned to ROM, but certainly not horrible.
atariron82
6450 This game takes some getting used to...besides the fact that it's mega-flippin' TOUGH! The good ol' analog stock controller seems to work best for maneuvering the Lotus; I find if you pull back to slow down as the screen scrolls right, your car builds up thrust enabling larger leaps forward. I was able to "fly" over two huge craters back-to-back in one jump! Also, at the end of the first level you can land on the oil derrick whether visible by starlite or not as long as you know where the 'sweet spot' on the screen is, but theres not much room for error. It took me several tries with a little luck . On to save the world...

darthkur
Rom doesn't seem to work at all in MC That's odd. Can you perhaps try a different emulator? Atari800Win PLus 3.1 seems to be compatible with most roms. What is everyone else using? Anybody have any other suggestions?

+Cafeman
I have finally found some enjoyment with 5200 James Bond: 007. I think the first level is quite difficult and has a floaty feel to your car; I previously never got to the 2nd stage and I assumed it just repeated the first stage. Jumping onto the stage 1 sea station is too difficult a task IMHO for stage 1! But now that I have a better feel for the rules and control, I found it kind of fun duck under sea stations and jumping over pits and bombs. I'm playing an A800win and I'm using a worn-out Logitech USB controller (playstation-style controller). Since the D-pad is unreliable anymore, I am using the floaty left analog thumb stick which adds to the realism of emulating the 5200! 18,400.
