+thegoldenband
In the manual for Utopia, it makes reference to a "Governor's Award": HOW TO WIN THE GOVERNOR'S AWARD 1. Start with a greater number of shorter rounds (30 - 45 seconds), since earnings and points are added each round. (etc.) From the context, it's unclear whether this is an actual in-game event. Does anyone know for sure? It'd be nice to get a gold star or whatever at the end of a particularly good game. And, more generally, has the scoring algorithm for the game been deconstructed/reverse-engineered? In particular, I wonder if there's a disadvantage to putting houses near factories. My girlfriend outscored me last night with an identical configuration of buildings -- the only different was placement -- so I want revenge! +thegoldenband
Surely, we must have one or two inveterate Utopia players who have some idea? ("I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.")
JayWI
I played hours and hours of Utopia trying to get the governors award and never saw anything to indicate I got it. I always assumed I just wasn't very good. Now I'm curious. I'll have to throw in Utopia today and check it out.
