BassGuitari
Did Wico ever make a Command Control joystick (or any other controller) for Intellivision? I could have sworn I remember reading about one someplace, but now I can't find any info at all about such a thing. I ask because I picked up a Colecovision lot from Craigslist today, and a Wico controller was included; it's a Colecovision Wico, but at first glance I thought it might be for Intellivision (II) since it has the two pairs of side-mounted buttons and an overhang at the front of the device where the game title on an Intellivision overlay would be displayed (stock Colecovision controllers lack this overhang...but Intelly overlays are just barely too narrow to fit securely anyway). So even though my controller is for Colecovision (still pretty damn cool, if you ask me), my curiosity about a Wico controller for Intellivision -or any third-party controller for Intellivision, aside from those sticks that attach to the discs- has been piqued. (The Coleco lot from Craigslist was a doozey, btw: a working console, two controllers, the Wico, Expansion Modules #1 and #2 with the pedal, a 2600 Kid's Controller, an Epyx 500J, and an Atari Trakball. Games include Smurf, Subroc, Turbo, Venture, Carnival, Zaxxon, Donkey Kong, and Time Pilot, and a Atari VCS cartridges -including No Escape! and Big Bird's Egg Catch- for $50. That's my definition of a good weekend. )
RangerG
Yes, and it looks like the Coleco one.
Vic George 2K3
From what I remember in a Electronic Games magazine review back in the day, they did release such a controller. Of course, I tried plugging the one I bought for the ColecoVision into my INTV II when I removed the left player's controller from it and it didn't work. RangerG
I had two before I sold my Intellivision. Both had problems and even when they worked the joystick was nice, but the fire buttons were worse than the stock ones (which is hard to be).
