The_Laird
How long ago was this announced now? Were we not supposed to have this magical device about 3 years ago? I don't know if you've ever done any h/w development (or any development for that matter) but it should be fairly obvious that when you make an original complicated work, such as a new chip, you'll get into problems. Especially when this is done on your spare time and you don't have company resources to allocate. In the end the jaguar community waited 7 years for a breakout clone. It can wait 3 for a complicated piece of h/w . Glad to see you are looking as forward to it as I am . More likely something to do with the fact that the hardware was announced before it even existed and then at some point the panic set in when everyone started questioning where it was and development actually started on the pipe dream. I wouldn't say I am looking forward to it . . . .

The spelling is my own This exists already its called Jaguar Sector 2 Never saw it. Do you have a link ? I cannot link JS2 its a private forum. But there is no arguing or bitching there and of course a massive part of the forum is dedicated to programming and tutorials plus the amazing JS2 Wiki which has a wealth of information and free downloads. I used to go to JS2, I know what it is from inside (in fact, I know what it was, someone took time to convince Jay to make me leave). I am aware of tutorials and Gorf's teaching place, and other ressources. But, reading your answer, I thought there was something else I missed, maybe only available from 500+ posters or more or exclusive members, or something new. It seems I am wrong. And many thanks for the bird naming, as I am a Jagware member. I really appreciate to be insulted in public (this is irony, in case my english is so bad that I have not been ironic enough...)

Tyrant
This kind of bitching is what the community doesn't need. It didn't need it years ago when I was still active. It doesn't need it today. You all need to get a fucking grip and stop acting like 14yo's. Why must you all constantly indulge in so much fucking myspace-drama? Seriously, why?
Fadest
So you say there are lots of new things I cannot see because I have been banned beacause someone (who dindn't dare to do it himself) didn't want me to stay on JS2, and you know lots of things that we cannot verify. And you included an insult in your answer How easy it is to propagate rumors. And disappointing to see things are not changing... you know, when finally, Jay offered me to come back on JS2, I prefered to declinate on order to keep things low...
Zerosquare
Right. So we have a second-hand story from someone that claims to work with Jagware, but refuses to tell it himself, or even to be named. On the other hand, you've got the word of the co-developer of the JagCF project and administrator on Jagware (me) that says this story is false. I'll let people choose who they want to believe.
The_Laird
There are loads of members here who are members on JS2 who would be more than happy to back up everything I have said. All I have done is stated facts and mentioned one thing I was told by somebody I trust 100% and I am sure there will be others who can verify what I was told. No bitching here from me all I am doing is talking straight.
Zerosquare
Sorry, facts are supposed to be independently verifiable by anybody. Thus, things in private forums and rumors from anonymous sources are not facts.

Personally, I have seen the working Jag Cf prototype for years. So all I can say is that it is real for years, long because you claim it has been started...
Christos
There are loads of members here who are members on JS2 who would be more than happy to back up everything I have said. All I have done is stated facts and mentioned one thing I was told by somebody I trust 100% and I am sure there will be others who can verify what I was told. No bitching here from me all I am doing is talking straight. Well, I can't verify what goes on behind closed doors. However sharing of information can't be one of them. They are mutually exclusive. Or to be a bit more precise, although exchange of information may be going on that stays between a selected few. Ir's more like a conspiracy to conceal information (if you excuse the analogy). On your other idea, logic dictates that the person you talked to (I accept that facevalue) can't know exactly what is or what was going on inside a two man team, unless he is a member. So unless you talked to SCPCD (since Zerosquare replied) the conclusion is that in fact that person was only stating their opinion on what was happening and opinion isn't knowledge. Lastly, you are not bitching nor are you asking an honest question. You don't like the jagcf or jagware and that's entirely your prerogative and your right to display it anywhere you please. And I believe that's what you were planning to do.
The_Laird
JS2 is a private forum but anyone can join, the reason its a private forum is to stop spammers and trolls (the latter of which we were having many problems with) we also had a problem with people using mulitple IP's for whatever reason Its not my forum its Jay Smith's so his word goes when people are banned or removed, I am just a moderator and its my job to report things to him if they break the rules. I have no problem personally with anyone in Jagware, I have met a few of them infact. As for the Jag CF I just don't think its something we need at all for many reasons I will go into if anyone wants me to.

I respect that it's not your forum, but I still fail to see how blocking the rest of the internet from reading a forum stops trolling. You need to be logged in to post anyway. I appologise for getting into a discussion about js2 though. From now on and in regards to a forum I can't read I'll just apply heisenberg's principle to it . I have read the reasons against the jagcf but I honestly don't find them to have any merit. I believe that the jagcf is a classic application of double standards and it all comes down to the individual who's making it. Therefore the problem in my view is personal and not conceptual. Maybe we have met, even if some years ago, I was mostly on Lynx side of coders, but I know you are also interested in Lynx
The_Laird
I met several people at old JFUK's. We havn't met I know that but I remember being shown some of your Lynx work and being very impressed with it. The Lynx is still my favourite console by far, a truely wonderful piece of technology in every way.
Fadest
I am not aware that some core Jagware members have been able to go to JFUK. I know I have not, even if I would love, but this is a quite long trip for only one day, and September is usually a really heavy month I know that some of the RGC (Pocket, Arethius, ...) guys did, but they are not Jagware... My Lynx work is now available, just download it from my signature link to check before eventually buy

Pocket
I can confirm that none of the Jagware members went to a JFUK, it was RGC members. And I can also confirm this JagCF story is 100 % false People who came at our events saw the prototype from the begining. It is the most complex Jaguar project ever started, so it's taking time.
