For Zaxxon 3-D: Press pause at the title screen to bring up an option menu.

 

A couple others can be played in 2D mode as well but are not as simple to get that way.

 

Poseiden Wars 3-D: Plug a control pad into the 2nd port. With this

controller, press button #1.

 

Space Harrier 3-D: Play the game in 3-D until you reach the first boss.

Let him kill you. If you obtained a high enough score, you'll get an

initials input screen after the Game Over message. With the 2nd

controller, and holding button #1, enter T-H-R-E-E. Note that the word

will not be displayed on the screen.

 

 

I can't remember where I came by this info. It was a while ago. Oddly enough I still have not tried any of them out that way so I can't say for certain that these instructions are 100% accurate. Probably are though. I'll be trying it out on Zaxxon soon enough.

the one for Space Harrier is in the manual, and Poseiden Wars actually advertise the 2D mode on the box - I imagine it tells how to do in the manual, but I do not own this game… I learned of the Zaxxon option only a few years ago as it was not advertised on the box or manual…

I voted Hang On since it's the only game in the list I have.

I voted for Wonder Boy, but I've never played any of them so I'm cool with whatever.

I voted for Wonder Boy in Monster Land. If Hang On gets voted, does it matter if I play the JP card version? It seems pretty much the same, aside for extra text introducing stage 1. I have the US one with Safari Hunt as well, though.

I have voted Super Wonder Boy Super Monster Land as it seems to be a popular choice, I'd think Zaxxon would be a better game to play for score, but I enjoy Wonder Boy ALOT so I don't mind playing that… though I never played it for score…
