We're mapping at $450 but the Pokey will be disabled in firmware so existing games that have their own Pokey can still work on it.

IIRC, beef drop first checks for a pokey on cart.
If no pokey is found on cart, it stores a 16 into $470 and looks for a pokey at $450.
It always writes to play music to both pokeys but won't enable the xboard one if there is one on cart.

I've tested the July 18th 2006 Beef Drop demo and it works fine using POKEY in the expansion module. All it needed was an A78 header change.

Can I also preorder the "7800 High Score Modules CX-78HSM" somewhere yet?

The Halloween and Monster! games (no binaries available yet) are also written in "C".

Halloween is a little over a month away ...
