ChuckH
I'd really like to play Centipede and Slither with a mouse like I do with MAME emulator. I like Daniel's hacks to at least play with the keyboard but playing with the mouse would be ideal for me. Any chance Daniel?

You can play any Roller Controller or Driving Module game (ie: Slither and Turbo) through the ADAMem Emulator with a mouse or keyboard already. You just have to use the right parameter when loading the emulator and rom image. To make life easier, use the ADAMem Manager Frontend or even better use Virtual ADAM by Steve Pitman and just check the options box for how you want the specific controller emulated. Also remember to use the original cart rom image and not Daniel's controller hacked cart rom image.

Hi Jim, Well, I can get Slither to work with a mouse with Virtual ADAM but I still can't get Centipede to work with a mouse with anything. Best I could do is with a joystick in Virtual ADAM. The mouse fire button will work but the gun won't move.

That's because Centipede was not designed to work with the Roller Controller (like Slither, Victory, etc.), it is for use with the hand controllers or other joysticks. On the real CV with a Roller Controller, you can however flip the switch on the Roller Controller from "Roller" to "Joystick" in order to use the trakball to play Centipede as well as other games (some just don't work well though as they are designed for joystick play). No emulator for the CV or ADAM takes this switch setting on the Roller Controller into account so the only way to play Centipede the way you want is on a real CV or ADAM with a Roller Controller and the switch set to "Joystick". Even though I haven't tried a lot of games with the Roller Controller (outside of course Slither, Victory and also Time Pilot), I have heard that the gameplay of some games is tremendously improved. Gonna have to try WarGames!
