InfernalKeith
I hope no one is offended if I post this here. Given the rarity of these things, I figured there would be some interest. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 380278486762 It works great, except for a sticky space bar, but given the easy access to the plug, you may be able to just plug another keyboard right in if you have the proper model. I ran it for a while, did a little programming with it, and it's a whole 'nother world from the original TI keyboard monstrosity! Keith Yep, I just might have to throw a bid on it! - Oh'tho I do have a console with Rave99 system, just no compatible keyboard for it. It is next to impossible to find XT keyboards in my neck of the woods, even AT is getting next to impossible. Have you see the price of just plain XT keyboard on Ebay, most of them are in the over $100 range, some just as high as this great bundle of TI99, with Rave99 and Keyboard. I love the Rave products, wish more of them would appear on Ebay, I used to chat the shit with owner and designer of Rave products back in the day, since he was a fellow Canadian and lived nearby to my neck of woods. If so there is a guy on the Vintage Computer Forums whole sells the replacement pads. Makes the keys work good as new.
unhuman
I might have some AT keyboards buried if someone wants 'em... will ship for actual postage. IIRC I had some actual IBM clicky ones... They're heavy.

matthew180
For some reason I kept the keyboard that came with my 286 (back in 1987). It has a switch on the bottom to select XT or AT mode and has the large 5-pin DIN connector. Not sure why I kept it, probably the same reason I have a pile of 25 year old hardware. It came in real handy last year when I got two PC-XT computers though! Before I realized I had that keyboard I tried to find some, and yes, people want a LOT of money on ebay for them. Tursi made a PS2 keyboard interface, and I'm planning on adding one to the F18A since it is not really that hard to do with the FPGA. It won't connect to the existing keyboard port though, so no existing code would work with it. Matthew

It would have been easier to say " I am not interested in any membrane keyboards or those silly rubber/graphite dudes." Thanks

AFAIK (and that's very little) all keyboard interfacing is through the 9901 so if it works there why would older software not be able to use it? Inquiring minds want to know
unhuman
Sorry guys - no keyboards - at least none that I could find. No idea where they are - but I know I had a few Northgate's and a few IBM... All with sliders / switches. Grumble.

Inquiring minds want to know I would not interface the 9901, which is why it would not work with existing software. I was thinking of adding the interface to the F18A and you would basically just read a specific memory location, or a new VDP register, to get any keyboard input. At the least I was probably going to add a USB or PS2 mouse with a dedicated cursor "sprite". It would be controlled via new VDP registers or a new "mouse table" in VRAM. InfernalKeith
The auction ended with no bids last night. I'll throw out the offer that if anyone here wants it for $150 plus shipping, I'll sell it to you. If not, I'll probably just hang on to it as a backup system. Thanks!
