How much profit did you turn on reselling them, and not share with batari? $800, maybe $1,000 pesos? I will vouch that he told you to get a life. I did see that post. I didn't see your response so I didn't respond. Others might not have responded for a couple of reasons. One reason is that this guy is obviously a troll and nobody is listening to what he is saying. I am sure most people believed what Underball stated just because of the way the OP has been acting. Another reason people might not have responded is because they didn't see either post before they were deleted so they have no input. I am positive that if everybody had all the facts they would have had your back here. Take a week off from the forums and cool off. Don't let some turd and an unfortunate situation take you out of the 7800 scene. There are only 4 or 5 people that are really keeping the 7800 going and you are obviously a huge part of that. The last thing this scene needs is to lose a true talent who actually finishes what he starts, and delivers what he promises, and along the way shares his ideas and hard work with everyone. Honestly in the last year or so, the whole atari homebrew scene here seems to have been co-opted by ego maniacs, conniving profiteers, and condescending know-it-alls. With the great Kenfused having pretty much moved on to other projects, and Propane13 having other more important things going on, - the horizon is looking empty and bleak. Don't go. The 7800 SD cart topic caught my attention, then I stumbled upon this mess. I had no idea what had transpired over recent days, but I can't sit here and watch Bob just walk away feeling like no one else gives a crap without throwing in a couple of my own cents. I still am pretty new around here (at least I still feel like a noob) compared to a lot of you guys, but based on my time spent here so far, Bob you have totally been a stand-up guy (thanks again for taking care of that Meteor Shower rattle ) who is greatly respected and liked by the overwhelming majority of us here. This is actually the first time I've ever even seen or read about you calling anyone names. Obviously, you were provoked, so you did what any normal human being would do. Retaliate. Maybe it was heated, and maybe you posted your retort in the thick of it all, but (almost) everyone here knows you don't just go around attacking anyone. I'd certainly throw in my added support for you, and will also have your back. I don't know sermajic, and it is not my intent to make an enemy of him, or anyone else, but reading his comments here is disappointing, to say the least, and is positively not worth leaving AA over. As mentioned already, if you feel like taking a break for a few days, hopefully you'll feel better and forget about this, as it is not worth dwelling on. But please don't go, Bob. I was disappointed that my SD card didn't have a Harmony label, but you nicely explained that to me when I mentioned it before. I am completely satisfied with what I got. But, you are right in one sense. H2 has no LEDs I don't see a need for LEDs on a 2600/7800 SD cart. i totally respect your opinion! but the higher priced Harmony version was not that much better,with only a cable for that price All you got extra was a cable? (That was a rhetorical question.) In addition to the cable, I got an SD card and a manual. [attempted humor]I also got a box, but it was for the wrong cartridge.... Some game called Priority Mail.[/attempted humor] (Seriously, I'm glad it didn't come with a box. It would just be an unnecessary added expense.) And yes, you're not the only one who didn't like the 32k limit - some of the Harmony developers also felt constrained. So far, the 32k limit has not been a problem for me. However, if ROMs for games like Chetiry (48KB as of 09 April 2011) are released, it will make me wish I had more memory. The reason for the 32k chip was so that Melody boards would be inexpensive enough to be feasible. This information surprised me. I had thought that it was the other way around.... that the 32k was so the Harmony would have a feasible price while the Melody could work with more memory than the Harmony has. Yes, there were larger chips available but they would have cost too much for Melody. I felt it was important to use the same chip in Melody and Harmony to ensure that any game developed on a Harmony could be released on a cart. I guess by that you mean that you wanted to ensure that games could be released on a standard Melody cart, since I think Melody carts can have more than 32k. The Chetiry blog page that I linked to above says, "The new Melody hardware also inspired me to include digitized music throughout the game, based on the Pitfall-2 technique." I may be wrong, but I thought this implied that Chetiry (48KB) would be released on the Melody. The Melody's store page also says, "Additionally, Melody boards can be built with a 128K Flash chip, replacing the Melody's standard 32K of Flash memory."
