roadrunner
Is there any way to get this game to start on Kega Fusion? After the opening movie, the game goes to the start game screen and that's it. I tried every button and nothing happens. +Yurkie
Sounds like a corrupt .iso I am guessing your mounting a .iso of the CD image on the emulator.
Austin
Are you using an ISO or an original disc?
roadrunner
Are you using an ISO or an original disc? ISO I tried the U and E versions, same thing happens. I see theres a video on youtube, someone else has the same problem has me.
Austin
Only thing I can recommend is try an original disc. There's always the small chance the ISO distributed out there is bad.
roadrunner
Yeah, i tried the bin, cue, and disc image file. Still no good. I did figure out if i use the second set of arrow keys, it will move the start game and options.

roadrunner
make sure you have the correct sega cd bios or all 3. I got the cd bios. There were quite a few games i just got a black screen after the sega logo until i checked perfect sync.
Austin
Roadrunner, what he is saying is to make sure you have tried all three different revisions of the Sega CD BIOS. There's a BIOS for the Sega CD Model 1, Model 2, and I believe the CDX. A very, very small amount of games have been said to have compatibility issues on certain BIOS revisions. roadrunner
I got the 3 bios in the correct slots. USA JAP EUR I got the built in ram checked to per game not per bios. Of all the games i tried out (50 plus games), this is the only one i can't start the actual game. I'm not sure what i'm doing in games like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. Austin
LOL, you are missing the point. There are separate BIOS files for the Model 1, the Model 2, and the CDX. USA/JAP/EUR has nothing to do with it. Later BIOS revisions have the kinks worked out, so to say.
Austin
Looks like there were more revisions than I thought. Taken from Wikipedia: BIOS REVISIONS: 1.02 - Pioneer LaserActive Mega LD 1(Japan/North America) 1.00 - Original Mega-CD (Europe/Japan), Sega WonderMega 1 (Asia) Victor WonderMega RG-M1 (Asia) 1.04 - Pioneer LaserActive Mega LD 2 (North America) (based on ver. 1.10 Sega-CD BIOS) 1.10 - Original Sega CD (North America) 2.00 - Mega-CD 2 (Europe/Japan), Sega CD 2 (North America), Victor WonderMega RG-M2 (Asia), JVC X'eye (North America) 2.11 - Mega-CD 2 (Europe/Japan), Sega CD 2 (North America) 2.21 - Sega Multi-Mega (Europe), Sega Genesis CDX (North America) Edited October 23, 2011 by Austin
+thegoldenband
Just an off-the-wall thought: you didn't accidentally download the 32X version, did you? I assume Kega supports 32XCD games, but...
+Yurkie
I was going to ask if SegaCD iso can be burned on a cd-r and played in a Sega CD?

I assume Kega supports 32XCD games, but... I know about the 32X version. I still haven't gotten around to playing that version yet. I just tried to load Corpse Killer SEGA CD on 32X setting and it didn't load. Got a message saying it probably was not a Genesis game. And yes i have played the 3DO version. roadrunner
What is corpse killer? Sounds like a sweet zombie game! It is. Even flying zombies. Asaki
Just an off-the-wall thought: you didn't accidentally download the 32X version, did you? That was my thought. I know for most of the games that were released in 32X/CD combo format, it's hard to find releases of the original non-32X version. I just tried to load Corpse Killer SEGA CD on 32X setting and it didn't load.Got a message saying it probably was not a Genesis game. Well, you would need to also have the 32X cart in the slot, and I'm not sure if Kega even supports that.

roadrunner
Woo Hoo!!! I got it to start!!! I just had to press key J on the keyboard.
Asaki
...I know. Now that I think about it, I was assuming that you needed a cart plugged into the 32X, but it doesn't look like any of those CD/32X games came with carts.
