Our game this round is Robotron: 2084. Great game for twin-stick shooting fun, but you'll have to play it twice. Each will count and score as a separate round.
Game 1 will be standard Robotron on default starting level with 2 controllers

Game 2 will be standard Robotron on default starting level with 1 controller

Emulation is fine as is whatever control scheme you wish. Round(s) end on Sunday, December 11 2011 @ 10pm EST

Robotron with 1 stick?  Ugh.  Oh, well, should make for an interesting challenge (and probably some pretty short games.)

That it may, but it still makes it a "different" game and gives others another chance to win.

I'm really missing my joystick coupler now. My homemade one keeps allowing the stick to slip out of it.

Anyway, just to start off, here is my 2-stick best so far. 174,000.

I never owned Robotron back in the day, but now I wish I had - its a spot-on conversion and really awesome. *


* except trying to use non-centering analog controls, of course.

2-stick mode doesn't change much for me, I'd rather 1 stick mode myself. At least with the A8 and C64 ports, I can use my 2 modded sega pads.

I just cannot play this version well
I keep trying and I am lucky to even see 100k… I just don't understand why I suck so bad… I play the 7800 version - with a SMS pad and 7800 stick, and I am getting to 500k no sweat… I guess I am just epic suck at Robotron 2084 on the 5200… I give up…

I was never very good at the 5200 version of this game.
Then again never put much time into the 5200 version and truth be told this is the first I've had a controller holder out of the box.. I can only imagine how fun Space Dungeon is !

I may post again, but this will probably be as far as I go time wise...  I spread myself a bit thin doing the knockout here and on the 7800 forum as well as the normal rounds already going...

I just tried a few rounds of the 1-stick game - my best was 19,500 and I refuse to try any more!

Looks like a miss for me here, the seller didn't ship out quickly enough, to make the Robotron deadline.
I bet my 5200 game lot will show up Monday...
