emkay
River Raid A really driving game Mr. Robot I never played it. Boulder Dash Rockford and the dropping stones. Maybe the loveliest Game on the ATARI 8-Bit ... Long time motivation was allways given. International Karate The Best Fighting Game on the XL/XE.. But the Soundtrack is reduced from C64 and could have been so much better. KARATEKA The Fighting Game with a good story and superior animated Fighters. Super Cobra IMHO a silly game in every way. Montezumas Revenge I liked this game very much. The graphics are made in a very good way, and don't made any more colors or higher resolution needed. Pole Position Let's drive fast Bruce Lee Yeah one of the most perfect Gamecompositions. Pretty graphics and the gamplay gives much fun.... But the Music was only "OK" ARCHON No question... an "ATARI" Game with long time motivating capabilites. Warhawk YES... sometimes the action made me sweat, and the music was very good (but something flat)... Jet Set Willy I never tried to play thru the game, but the music made me load this game very often... only to listen to it. Rescue on Fractalus One of the "real" ATARI Games Fast graphics... and that thrill if one is knocking... is it a Pilot or an Alien?... I was in every Time really frightend, when the Alien appeared. GREAT AMAUROTE It was not possible for me to play thru this Game. That "Black-White" isometric 3D drived me mad in any time. The Music was ok... so far. Shannon
Anyone up to a 'killer' Mr Robot challenge ok you all done did it. I couldn't pass it up. Usually I just lurk on msg boards, but this one has been so compelling that I decided to register. I'll probably leave a nice long "original" multi-purpose msg sometime soon. I'm up to the challenge. 15 years ago I'd probably been able to complete, I doubt I could do it right away till I practiced up a little to get back my skills. I used to play Mr Robot all the time and even created some levels for it. I forget how many. I do remember I made one where the level could be completed without even moving the joystick. (Just for kicks). I probably still have those levels on the original disk somewhere. Although I cannot remember if I converted them over to my IBM PC back when I was copying stuff over. Probably sitting in a box somewhere. I assume you transferred your "killer" levels over and are willing to let someone give them a go. I was also really big into lode runner back then. A friend and I made several difficult levels, at least we thought we did. We were so into the game we had our little "lode runner" rule of thumb list. Basically a memorized list of "givens" when dealing with a lode runner level. I dunno how soon I'd be able to get to trying those levels out though. I'm in the process of setting up a PC for my five year old that is hooked up to my widescreen tv (plus pc monitor). Which will be strictly for emulators, and watching movies. I'm currently working on the 2600, plan on doing the 5200 and 7800 next. Then probably mame, and pinmame, maybe the daphne laser disk emu, then the atari 8-bit. I want him to be able to experience all the games I played as a kid. But I'm trying to do a thorough job by including screen shots, box covers, cart pics, and the manuals. Maybe even including some type of music player to play those pokey music files floating around (as well as other systems). In the far, far future I might take a crack at including animated screen shots, but my task is big enough as it is.

AtariDude
The first thing that came into my mind is that I have played a majority of these games and they were all great fun! I just wish todays games were as fun as the ones that I used to play on my Atari 800XL.
