+Andrew Davie
Well. My entire association with the Atari 2600 has been to call it the twenty-six-hundred. But I found out today at least one person calls it the "two thousand six hundred". So, mmh. The latter sounds just... wrong. It's the "twenty six hundred"... right? Cheers A

+Random Terrain
People who say "two thousand six hundred" must be so lazy that they never even bothered to watch one Atari 2600 commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_XrIx2eUGc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m752qiGqSm4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYQD8SwhnZU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuFO6vE5uX4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXoZuC8atzI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V41ajt3euYQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrtP-1M9uRc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUh20taWkWs
retrorussell
I never heard anyone called it 2 thousand 6 hundred.. I always assumed if it doesn't have a comma in the number just call it hundred instead of thousand.

jdrose
Regarding the VCS: I have never seen a comma between the 2 and 6. It's not a dollar figure. "Twenty Six Hundred" is the way to pronounce it. Cheers!
jaybird3rd
Just about everybody I've heard pronounces it "twenty-six-hundred," except for those itchy contrarians who insist on calling it "two-sixer-double-ought" or something equally awkward. +Random Terrain
Twenny Six Hundred. Everyone knows the second "t" in "twenty" is silent. I thought people who said 'twenny' also said 'hunnerd'? Example: "I play 'tari tapes on my 'tari twenny six hunnerd."
