ClausB
In this post http://www.atariage....ost__p__2434326 I uploaded two 3Kx2K JPGs. When I click the thumbnail it reports the original file size but clicking SAVE downloads a 1200x900 reduction of the image. I tried it on Safari, Chrome, and IE. I also looked at my attachment manager and it still reports the full file size. Is it normal for the site to downsize JPGs? If so, then why not do it on upload instead of on download? Is there another way to download the full JPG? Am I missing something here? Thanks.
ClausB
I see some folks posting huge pictures, so why are my posted pictures downsized? I don't post huge ones but once in a while I need to post something more than 1 Mpixel and I'm always careful to make it a reasonable file size. Albert
Yes, looks like the forum default was to downsize images to a maximum size of 1600 x 1200. I just bumped this up to 4000 x 4000. As for people posting huge pictures, if you have the image hosted elsewhere, as opposed to uploading an attachment, it will not be reduced in size. I'm guessing that's what's happening, although I'd need to see a specific example to confirm that is what's taking place. ..Al
