Sony PSP 2000 w/Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-6 & Extra's Like New!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys/gals, I'm selling a very nice Sony PSP 2000 with custom firmware installed(CFW 5.00 M33-6). The PSP has an after market Simpson's Yellow body on the top half, and the offiicial Star Wars Battlefront White on the bottom half. A 2GB Magic Memory stick is included as well.(Sony brand memory stick was used). This card will allow you to put ISO's or emulators on your PSP(none included).

This unit is in perfect condition, as the screen has a protector in place, so no scratches. The UMD runs flawless as well. The analog nub works perfectly, but every once in awhile when you start a new game after boot up, your character may slightly move until you actually use the nub, and then it recalibrates, and runs perfectly until you shut down the unit.

I'm sure some may not care for Darth V. on the back, so 3 white replacement battery covers are included(one is for bigger battery placement). These are not official items, so the white color and fit may be slightly off, but a good alternative to what is there. Also included are 3 white dust cap protectors that fit in the open slots of the PSP, and keep the dust out(USB, Charger Slot, Ect.).

One brand new factory sealed official Sony brand 2200 mah battery is here(along with the original battery included in the unit), and this is the larger and longer lasting battery, so 2 more bigger battery covers are included with this battery. These covers are black and silver in color, but they are official, so they probably fit better than the white ones, but are only for use with this larger battery and don't match the overall system colors.

A brand new factory sealed generic 5 volt charger is included, along with a brand new computer USB recharge cable. I'm also throwing in my original PSP Battle Front Box and packaging, as this will give you a box for your unit, along with official manuals and paperwork which have never been used.

Oooops, I almost forgot, a hard carry case is also included(slighty mushy material, but very thick). This case is in excellent condition, and provides space for extra UMD's, or accessories if need be. A very nice quality product. I also recently found a ZAGG all over body shield, so this item is included as well. These really are the best screen & Full body protectors made.

I am open to any and all fair offers, but I'm looking to get $200US plus shipping for this set, and I'm not looking to sell anything seperately. Shipping cost in the USA will be 10 dollars, and international shipping cost will start at about 30 and go up depending on your location(insurance coverage will be included of course). Paypal is my payment option of choice. Honestly, everything included here is brand new, or like new. Please feel free to PM me with any questions and offers, and I'll get back to you ASAP.

It is more than the cost of a new unit, but this unit looks and runs as good as new, along with many extras, plus custom firmware. The few places on the web that sells these with custom firmware want 150, and that is for old used crappy units.

IMO, this set is better than new, but like I say, "I'm open to offers", nothing is set in stone.

By extras you mean extra battery and carrying case? Anybody can buy a non-modded unit for under $100 and mod it with ease, so I highly doubt an extra battery and case is worth $100.

I purchased my boxed Daxter model off ebay for about $100 shipped, spent another $30 on a Sony branded 8gb member stick, and <$10 on Pandora battery @ dealextreme. And this was a couple years ago, and prices have fallen since.

Price it how you want, but with such a high starting price, youre going to scare away potential buyers, IMO.

What part of "Open to offers" am I missing?

Does anyone here go and buy a new car and pay the sticker price?

200 is what I would like to get, I didn't say it was all I would take. This is a marketplace right? Not Amazon, so when is a price listed the final say, unless the seller states it as such. If someone thinks 200 is to high, they can easily offer less, why do people always feel the need to be so NEGATIVE.

I was told by many here last year that I would never sell my "Mr. Boston" for what I was asking, as it wasn't worth that much being the cart & overlay ONLY! Guess what? I sold it well over what many here said I would be able to get, and if I had listened to those guys, I would have lost money.

If your not interested in what someone is selling, I see no reason to state what you would "personally pay". If I don't sell an item in a reasonable amount of time, guess what? I will lower the asking price, but since this isn't Ebay, I really don't see the need to lower the asking price for something that is open to offers. I personally think my asking price is way fair, and if I could sell this item on Ebay, it would be sold within a few days easy.

So thank you for any and all advice, as it is greatly appreciated.

@Classic Pac & SlammedNiss

While I agree for the most part you need to stop thread crapping. the seller has stated his price, you don't need to agree with it. After the first comment he gave HIS reasons for the price he is asking, again you do not have to agree but he has posted in the market place. You may think your trying to help or give good advice but this is not the place for it, think about if you put something for sale and all replies were telling you why it's too high priced. The seller may come to that conclusion at some point, I suggest if your not interested then just leave it alone and move on......

Then I would adjust my price accordingly. Yes, he has stated he is "open to offers", but if you start out at a price that is too high you risk the possibility of scaring away potential buyers. People typically price things higher than what they want, because they know others will ask if they will accept a lower offer. However, if you price it too high, then people will be afraid to make offers because they'll feel they'd be low-balling compared to what they're asking.

If I was unaware of what market value is on something, I would actually appreciate other peoples' input on what TMV is. Maybe that's just me...

To the OP, GLWS. I hope you're able to get what you feel it's worth.

Here is the thing though, it is just you (ok maybe one other) the thing is, in a case like this the OP did not ASK for comments or opinions regarding price. Further more, after the first comment the OP even felt pressed to offer their explanation for the price asked. That should have been the end of it period, this thread is NOT the place to be going back and forth as to the opinion of what the sale item is worth, if you insist on it then the proper thing to have done would have been to message the OP because the simple fact of the matter is when one has a different opinion of a products pricing in a Market/sale thread and posts it, it is considered thread crapping, seriously look into it. You should know better.

This is a public forum on the internet. Anyone who puts something out there should expect feedback. That's the nature of the medium.

I'm surprised by your reaction to this. None of the comments were nasty, most pointing out that the OP was asking far more for his items than their value.

I am glad for the others who pointed out that the OP's asking price was high, since I would hate for some innocent without extensive gaming background to be fleeced. If the price were only $5-10 to high, no one would have said anything... but $80? That's 40% higher than buying the same stuff from Gamestop, and we all know they aren't the cheapest by a long shot.

In this particular case, social media is working even better than expected. By having more knowledgeable people constructively inform the seller that the price is unusually high. Because potential buyers can read these public statements, they can choose to do more research before making a purchase. If after checking prices they find the OP's price reasonable, they will come back and buy the items.

As for "thread crapping." Thread crapping my ass. <===== And if you don't see the humor in that, your panties are seriously bunched up somewhere they shouldn't be :P
