Strange problem with my colecovision

[coleco 1990]

When smurfs is played player 1 jumps by itself with no controllers plugged in

it works normally in another colecovision and when playing donkeykong

I can go up the latter but cant go back down the ladder. Then player 2 can go only forward, cannot jump but does jump once without touching the controller and the blue player skill level select screen only shows for a split second. What can cause this?

Do it yourself or find a friend who can do it for the price of 2 beers, or contact Yurkie here at Atariage.

If you do some browsing in the ColecoVision forums here, you'll find this to be quite a common problem.
