Bad Man Jose
The question of course, is can it be fixed. I have a friend of mine who has two INTV I master components and he is having issues with the controllers. Is it hopeless to try to repair them or is there a place out there that would work on them? pimpmaul69
if controllers are the problem, is it only the left controllers? If so take the right good controller out of of one and put it in the other and have one working system. Bad Man Jose
He describes the issue as " The directional disc on one side is inconsistent moving to the right on one console and to the left on the other. One is worse than the other if I rmember correctly." Apparently he is experiencing it with both controllers on both systems
jaybird3rd
You can still buy replacement Intellivision mylar flexboards; GameGavel member edintv has several for sale: http://www.gamegavel.com/display.cgi?seller=edintv&categories=18100&search=1 I used two of these to refurbish a pair of Intellivision controllers just recently. The process of replacing them is a bit of a pain, but it brought the controllers back to life.
Games For Your Intellivision
I have found that the Mylar does not usually wear out. Many times, taking apart a controller, cleaning it carefully.......prying up the metal 'fingers' that touch the mylar carefully, and screwing the controller back together tightly does the trick. I find that most of the time, the component on the hand controllers that fails the most is the wire....the mylar not so much.
roberto
What about the black screen (of death)? One of my systems suddenly went black... this is what can also happen with dirty carts/contacts but I clean everything carefully and tried several carts so it shouldn't be the case this time. Any suggestions on possible causes/fixes?

I also heard before somewhere that a circuit pen could be used if an actual 'break' was found on the printed circuit. But yeah, i have several systems where hte wires are hanging out of the controllers. I need to disassemble them.
AlvinKarpis
I took my controllers apart and gave them a good cleaning and made sure that everything was connected and good Now they work great
