Any joystick or keyboard is fine! Pics are encoraged here, however I WILL accept a no pic score. Anyone can jump in and play for a High Score and Ranking, if they like... Every score will be counted for the High Score Challenge also, even if you're not entered in the Winter 2600 Knockout. Everyone starts each game with a score of ZERO, one goal is to get above 0... or get a high score, if you don't you will be eliminated and the lowest score earned of the active KO players, is safe! A KING status will be awarded at the end of every round winner, as well as rankings and points. First place gets +15 points! From there on, 1+ less... My big tip for this game is to learn how to zig-zag up and down floors to avoid the enemies and have patience. There's no time limit to catching the bits and you can exit the screen from any floor, so take your time on the faster levels. My goal is to break 100K on this game this week. Vocelli Posted February 20, 2012 Share Posted February 20, 2012 WOW! That Pole Position competiton was CRAZY! We should see Sunda as being an intense day for posting scores from now on. I would say I was not close on the Pole Position predicted score. I didn't think everyone would score so high and so close. Ok. Advertures of Tron. This game is a game that I have always wanted to get good at but never sat down long enough to get a decent score. At first the game is confusing but turns into an outstanding game that never gets boring. Once you play and understand what the heck is going on you will enjoy it. If you have played this game in the past you will have an early advantage. But if you spend enough time with it this week you will catch up quickly. To the newbies, one day of play will not get you a great score. As a kid I broke 45K but could have gotten better with time. So I predict the low score of the week will be 52K. That might be high but I have confidence in everyone to score well. There might be a slacker out there who gives up quickly but since we have very active players left, I am not counting on it. And here's an Easter Egg Screen (Programmer Credits - G.Hightower is Glenn Hightower): To do this, I pressed "Select Game" and "Reset Game" together when this game was opened. Deteacher Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) 74,200! All time personal best! I thought the difficulty maxed out around 50 or 60K, but that's not the case. I find myself ducking and weaving more and more, trying to get those bits at the top, with each passing level. It's quite challenging (and rather addicting too!) What sucks is having to start all over at the super slow level each time. Once I get to about 30K, the game starts to get fun again. Here's another little tip: If you're feeling overwhelmed with all the enemies and you need a few seconds to collect your thoughts and form a strategy, slide down the I/O beam in the middle, but hold up on the controller as you slide down. You'll slide down very slowly. This is especially effective when you're at the top of the screen and you are invincible while sliding down the I/O beam.
