Q*bert springs into life with all the adventure of the popular arcade game!

Colorful grapics and arcade-like sounds accompany the game's lively action. Hop Q*bert up and down the steps of a "three-dimensional" pyramid, changing each step's color as he lands. Complete the entire pyramid, and Q*bert moves to a more challenging pyramid.

But look out! The crafty arcade creatures are here, too, and they're after Q*bert. Hop out of danger fast - or soar to safety on a Flying Disc. But watch where you move Q*bert. One hop off the pyramid, and he'll be lost in space!

Q*bert - the lovable arcade character in his lively action and adventure game.

C'mon patbb! :)

Pat: Get yourself a Web cam - that TG record's been standing since 2005!

Actually that's my record and it was in 2001. I don't know why it says 2005. I could have continued playing, I was just running out of VHS tape when I recorded it and game has to be over to be official and I didn't want to submit more than 1 tape. Use to have to set up a camcorder and tape the game, now you can record on a VCR.

Wow! impressive...how fast was the little sucker jumping around that late in the game?

Level 3.

Very nice score!

Thanks.

Starting at level 6 Qbert speed increases, looks like it's twice as fast.

The strange thing is that the the other also goes faster but not twice fster.

So, It's actually easier to play, for me at lease, than the first five levels.

I'll try to make a video this week.

The problem with this one is that it takes about 2hrs to get to 1 million!

I take my record seriously. If my score is beaten, I will not rest until I regain the top spot. Here is a game in progress 1,002,015 I took the picture shortly after rolling past 1,000,000 and as you can see I am in 9-4 with over 5 lifes.

Nice.

I can also play for ever at this game ... including the arcade version.

I guest it's just a mater of how much free time I have.

I also stopped playing just after passing the 1 million mark, I took a picture jsu before getting there.

I played up to 1,2 million and stopped with several lifes left.

This was a game I played a lot in the 80's ... I was playing for hours on a quarter, very useful when you don't have a lot of money!

The score used to be less than 200,000 back in '00-01'. I remembered getting over a million back in 1982 or 1983 as a child, so when I saw the less than 200,000 score on Twingalaxies I bought a CV on Ebay, taped it and sent it in. I think the referee for the ColecoVision changed and that is why my score says 2005 instead of 2001. Since I have held this record for over a decade and have proven I can still play the hell out of it I see little reason for anyone to take the time beating my score, but that is of course a matter of personal choice.

I too have thought about making a run for a record on the Arcade version, but I would be happy to be in the Top 20. I doubt I could play for over a day without falling asleep at the controls.

Me neither, to break the record, you have to play for +70 hours.

A few have tried recently but none as succeded yet.

I usualy fell a sleep before 11pm :) I don't think I'll be able to play for that long!

Final score

I Tried to record the full game using Youtube but the recording was stopped after a while.

I recorded the last 30 minutes of my game. From about 950K to 1.3M

It's not a good segment. I was very sleepy ... I stopped playing at around 1AM.

The quality is not that good either.

Note: I swear a few time in this video but it's in French ... French Canadian ... Québecois :)

There is a bug where you stop getting free guys at some point, or at least there was on my cart. At around 1,800,000 I dropped down to 4 guys remaining and never got another extra guy for the rest of my game.

Great score.

Do you also play the arcade version or any other port?

Have you tried the Faster, Harder more challenging Qbert?

I will try to beat your score tonight ... if I have the time.

At the same time I will see if I have the same behavior (free guys) on my cart.

I don't know if this might be a clue but with my copy, when the game is over, it goes to the selection screen a few seconds after.

It might also be because I've moved the joystick ... I don't know!
