Cynicaster
Mala is a very nice front end for mame and other emulators... That's what I use. I'm pretty sure it's not being actively worked on anymore, but I don't really care because I have a version that works just great on my old single-core WinXP emulation machine. It's clearly MAME-focused, but it does have an "other emulators" setup tab. I've got Stella, pSXe, Fusion, Nestopia, MESS, and a few others running on there. As for MESS, I've got it running 5-6 different systems and it works great. It's not at all difficult to set up if you know the first thing about how to enter a command line. The time people have spent complaining about it in this thread should be more than enough time to learn the command line syntax and be up and running. VectorGamer
If you want something simple and quick to configure, check out Kymaera. That's what I use on all my MAME cabs. http://kymaera.sourceforge.net/
fibrewire
OpenEmu is hands down the best front end for Mame and several others. Only for OS X 10.7 or later though. Has the cleanest interface than ANY emulator I've ever seen. EVER.
