HelloAtariJason
I just bought an E.T. cart that had the end label stamp "462 D". I have heard that the digits are the week and year of production but what is the "D"? I have a ton of "R" stamped end labels and some with no letters at all. So my question is does anyone know what these letters mean? I did a search of the forum but it didn't turn anything up so sorry if this is somewhere else. If needed I can send a pic. Thanks, Jason
Ranthulfr
Maybe the letter indicates the manufacturing location, like the mint mark on a coin? I looked through some of my carts and found stamps followed by R and stamps followed by nothing. Didn't see any D's.

Ranthulfr
I don't know for sure that the letter indicates location but it's been suggested before... Here's a similar thread from a few years ago: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/78615-text-label-carts-with-date-stamps-on-end-labels/ And... I don't know where carts were made so it's hard to guess exactly what R and D might mean.
