5200 HSC Season 5 Round 13 Special Round

Please use a separate post for new scores or at least make a post saying that you updated a previous one. Thanks.

I like to create an early post and keep track of my hopefully improving scores with the date but I admit it's hard for everyone to see what's happening...

Usually I put in blue scores which the moderator didn't see yet but, again, I admit it makes moderator's life harder. Jacob may hate this :ponder:

So are we playing Game 1 or not? Seems as though I'm not the only one to have posted scores for it.

 

If I understood correctly, we're not getting any points from Space Invaders Game I for this round but we can settle a record for future ones...

Besides that, personally I'm loving this SI (well all of the games) and I like to build difficulty up from Game I :)

Ah, okay...that explains it...play it, but it doesn't count...I'm not real big into SI, but this is the hardest version I've ever seen.

 

So are we playing Game 1 or not? Seems as though I'm not the only one to have posted scores for it.

 

If I understood correctly, we're not getting any points from Space Invaders Game I for this round but we can settle a record for future ones...

Besides that, personally I'm loving this SI (well all of the games) and I like to build difficulty up from Game I :)

I'm saving Game one of SI for a future round since it takes too long for a "bonus game". That one gets real competitive around here. :)

I can do much better at other versions of Beamrider, the 5200 controller is holding me back. :(

I did allow A8 ports, but I respect not using them for an "advantage" if you have the 5200 version. :thumbsup:

Hey, I'm playing the 5200 Beamrider on an emulator and this version is the hardest I've played. I scored 68,000+ on the ColecoVision version and 85,000+ on the Intellevision version...have only done 26,000+ on the 5200 version. I think the 5200 version is a lot faster.

Yep, I posted in (07/31) but forgot and wrote DD/MM (31/07) as we do here. I'm gonna fix it.

I'll keep my first post updated with dates, highest score pic etc. But now on I'm creating more posts too.

In looking deeper into it, Liduario's post was earlier than yours but you get to keep the bonus point because you passed the pre-round record. Should you ultimately hold the record at the end of this round, you will receive an additional point for successful defense.

 

Things like this are what happen with "updates". Keeping a single post as a personal table is fine, but making a new post with even just text of what game you improved on makes it easier to track.

 

That said, it's great to see one of the bonus games getting the most action so far in week 1. :)

So far, the SI bonus games have made the top spots rather tight, but it's early yet and a few players are still out. Only one player has so far, skipped a game getting the default 3pts.

Remember, the only way to increase your Round Points is to take someone else's.
