Where is Eric Delee ?

In february of this year, Eric Delee asked me to send him two Lynx cartridges for his collection.

As it's a good guy who made many for lynx community I sent the cartridges and after an email to ask him to pay for games and shipping.

He put 2/3 weeks to respond, but say he will send me the money fast.

I wait again 2/3 weeks but I still do not see money coming.

I write many emails for ask my money, but never receive answer.

Since Eric has given no sign of life, it does not come on the forum and does not respond to my emails.

To a period I even worried for him and I was hoping that it was not a misfortune happened.

Few days ago I found his Facebook profile (I reassure all people, it is alive !) but again, despite obvious activity on his FB page, he ignores my Emails send on FB.

We are not talking of $ 1,000, but only $ 70 ($ 18 for each cartridge and $ 34 for shiping)

Eric never complain about the cartidges I send for him and he has never asked to give him time to pay, he just keeps silence.

I sent him a copy of this message before posting here, but as always he did not respond.

I probably lost $ 70, this is not a great misfortune. The great misfortune is, I was disappointed by a guy I thought was good

Sorry to have bothered you with this story but I wanted to tell it.

I'm sorry to here this, though I am quite happy to hear he is alive and kicking. I had been fearing the worst. I wonder why the cold shoulder? I've read a few times when he has had some disputes, including at least one major one with Al over posting potentially copyrighted material about Lynx protos, but I think those were a while back... I wonder what the trigger was...

Also sorry to hear this. He always seemed like a fine guy and a very enthusiastic Lynx-fan. We all owe him for releasing Eye of the Beholder.

I hope he returns someday, and that he makes up things with rygar.

BTW, kind of a funny moment for me on Facebook: His interests and activities showed me one thing: Jabba the Hutt.

Just made me giggle, to find Jabba of all things as the only listed interest.^^

Oh good :)

I´m afraid he simply got too much of the EOTB hassles, the related PM flood etc.

Sometimes people simply lose their login details (and never think of the password recovery function that every forum has I think).

Happened to the Atari Lynx Lover. Well at least he said so.

I hope Eric comes back. I enjoyed reading his reports, seeing new screenshots, and the alternative versions of Lynx games he has found and shared are priceless.

In add to Rygar, I'm a french person from Yaronet Lynx forum too. I had a dispute last december with Eric with a similar situation. He was very communicative until I sent a payment for EOTB, seemed to be his last one. 20 days after the payment, it was the same problem than RYGAR, Full silence whereas we were exchanging many messages per day before the payment. I finally open an "issue case" in paypal and they blocked his account until he sent the game. He finally recontacted me claiming he couldn't had to access to his paypal account to offer a present to his children. Strange situation, isn't it? He finally sent the game and sent pictures from the postoffice shipment receipt in advance. I'm not surprised about Rygar's issue. But I just wonder how a guy very active in the scene and cool can have strange behavior and issues like this, I just don't hope he hasn't any personal problems.

Doesn't sound good =(

My reasons are selfish as I really wanted him to do another EOTB run.

I hope he's OK and is one day able to put these rumours to bed and clear his name regards the funny issues regards Rygar and paypal etc.

Just remember everyone has a life beyond this hobby and shit happens that sometimes makes people behave in unusual ways. He could have lost a family member, his job, his partner / wife, maybe even his home, and when those sorts of things happen everything else becomes unimportant. =\

Edit: He also was very reliable from the archives on here, so I think its unfair for people to jump to conclussions just yet. I have a feeling he will make his way back here at some point and resolve things he might not have been able to do over the last few months.

Unlike you I do not think we see him in a futur day.

Some month ago he sold his collection and all its Lynx prototypes cartridge on Ebay.

He stopped the Lynx and like a coward he forgetting to pay his last debts.

Thats really sad =\. The one thing I hate is when someone rips people off, even for a small amount.

He has not replied to me on FB either. :(

I am really disappointed. Partially because it just puzzles me since nobody seems to know what triggered his change.

If he really sold his collection I guess chances are slim to see him again. But why would he do that? Even if he was pissed at something here and did not want to participate in the community anymore that does not explain why he would not continue to enjoy his collection in private.

Selling it all sounds more like monetary problems... or something happened that made him want to forget everything Lynx.
