nukeshed
Hello all, I don't particularly collect Non-US 2600 games (or 2600 seriously at all), but when I stumbled upon this, I decided I better grab it before someone else does. Even if it doesnt fit into my specific game collections, I like odd packaging, which makes this a lovely addition should it not have any value. I seem to have an HES copy of River Raid in its clamshell. It's been a bit abused by the pictures, but I have never seen this before, and I was unable to find another one like it, either in the Marketplace here, or on eBay, though frankly, I only did a cursory check. I have tried to take clear pictures, but my camera is not the greatest. Hopefully they illustrate what is needed. I will be scanning and trying to preserve the packaging as best possible, I just need to access a scanner at this time. What I would like to know is A) if there is any interest in these clamshelled games, B) if this has any value more than nostalgia, and C) if anyone wants a deal on it Thanks, Solo
nofrills100
From an Australian point of view - it is very common (sorry to say)

NinjaWarrior
That looks like a bootleg game Where can you get cases like that??
nukeshed
What I understand is that a lot of (if not all) HES games came in said boxes? Perhaps an Aussie could clarify
Stan
I'm not Aussie, but you're pretty much correct. HES released a lot of games, some without the permission of companies (like Nintendo or Sega), and the majority come in clamshell cases like this. nofrills100
HES - Home Entertainment Supplies Australia I believe had the license to release relabelled and repackaged Activision titles in Australia, and some other company's too. They were a pretty legit company, so I would be surprised if they released anything without permission, but you never know? http://www.atarimania.com/pgelstsoft.awp?system=2&type=G&publisher=1702&step=
