This one seems to be much easier with the keyboard but I'll try my nes controllers and see what I can get.

I have a hard time with these platform type games. But I like this one more than most.

Thanks! The competition is tough this season (not that it wasn't back then) so I think it'll be harder to keep the crown. I'm going to give it my best shot, though.

Playing with normal atari controller is too much difficult compared to the keyboard.

 

Look what I got with my first keyboard game:

 

I'm not saying playing with keyboard is wrong.

But I don't feel good if I play some games with the common atari controller, some with the prosystem, some with my modded nes (d-pad and the advantage ) and some with keyboards.

 

So, I'm letting the keyboard out of my games and since I have the harmony cart and the stelladaptor I won't use keyboard for any games.

Once again, I'm not saying it wrong to use keyboard. In fact, when I began I hadn't any atari system or controllers, I only used stella with my pc and I'm very glad I've found such a great place to start playing right away.

 

And, as said, I still have many options to use with my atari

Now I feel the old times again. My fight against those platforms of second phase comes vividly in my mind. You just want to jump, jump, JUMP! And it falls down again.

I encountered a strange bug in level 2. After I lost a life, my next kangaroo was on the actual bottom of the screen. I couldn't get her to jump onto the platform. I had to lose another life.

I started playing with the keyboard and found the controls too sluggish...couldn't make the "super leaps." Switched to my trusty CX-40/Stelladaptor and found it to be MUCH better!

Thought I was going to see if you could have 4 boxes in the reserve life section, but lost my first life at 39K. The apples really start flying in the higher levels! Yikes!

Hmm... I'm feeling better with my score with keyboard now. If you prefer the cx-40 and you're getting such good scores then I may try and see how far I can go with the keyboard.

Usually any controller is comfortable to me. But I'm way better with the keyboard with this game.
