Atari_afternoon
For 400 "Buy Now" price? I´d rather get ten copies of Desert Strike
GadgetUK
Well over priced! 40 eur postage is a joke... I was going to offer 70 eur until I saw the 40 eur postage. I will be shocked if you get more than 50 or 60 eur tbh, regardless of rarity. I will keep an eye on the auction. Good luck!
segaklon
For 400 "Buy Now" price? I´d rather get ten copies of Desert Strike Hello, on the Desert Strike may know that there are thousands of copies of that game and still the game is always above 60 dollars, if you're interested I sell you can always make an offer and just interests me. No doubt this game is one of the most difficult to get to this console with cinciclassic Cibervirus edition was published only 25 units. Shipping charges are approximate, because in Spain the postal service is fairly expensive I can assure you it has nothing to do with what you pay in the UK, and to pay 60 or 70 euros for this oddity because if I find a joke, the last thing I saw on ebay sold for 215 euros did and that several years ago. sage
For 400 I would consider selling mine, too :-)
Michael David Morsette
I guess worth is really what someone is willing to pay, I have seen a couple of these both with price tags between 2 and 3 hundred U.S. Mine I bought as part of a package and was able to get it cheaper. I guess one thing to keep in mind is that while this is a really rare cart, not very many people want it bad enough to pay a premium. Atari_afternoon
Yes, I didn´t mean to turn it down. [Regarding Desert Strike, personally I believe I would not pay more than 30 for any "old" Lynx release (non-homebrew). Desert Strike is indeed my final old release I´d like to have - but not for 50 pounds unboxed buy now prices....] But I understand, if you have looked for years for something like the CGE 5th one, or P.I.T.S., then die-hard fans are happy about ANY opportunity 400 is still "understandable" and there are definitely people in the world for whom this is "reasonable". (even if I personally never would have bought it even back then when it was new, it is nothing groundbrealing like Cybervirus , for exampole, it is a slideshow), and it gives us something to talk about: The Lynx´ Kizuna Encounters or Air Raid Now I find it just interesting to watch and to see how much the most expensive Lynx cart will be and if it will be this one So, good luck on the auction Edited November 16, 2012 by Atari_afternoon
GadgetUK
Wouldnt be so bad if it was actually a game, but its just a slideshow from what I understand. Will pass on this I think. Still curious to see what it sells for!
segaklon
Good morning, the price is not set in stone, they can always make their offers. I have followed many auctions on ebay some of them related to the 2600 games have sold for several thousand dollars and certainly seemed to many a joke. GadgetUK
I will make a 16 image slide show and sell it on a PCB 1 of 1 copies, how much would that be worth? Sounds nice being hi res images and all but its not got the same appeal as a game.

On top of that it is a limited production. That is were it gets it's value.
BenjaminStevens
I never understood why so many people feel the need to post on forums complaining about prices. Seriously, if you don't like the price, then don't buy the game. If you really want the game but the price is too high, then try to make your best offer. Complaining does nothing productive. segaklon, don't accept any low-ball offers for your game too soon. I have a lot of pending auctions going on right now, and if I lose them all, I will probably make an offer for your game that you can't refuse. If I win some, then I might miss out on this nice opportunity.

BenjaminStevens
Thanks for your understanding I already placed bids on two big money auctions that are not going to end for another 9 days. If my bids get surpassed on both of them before that time, you can rest assured that I'll be making my offer on your game if it is still available. BenjaminStevens
ok, now there are 6 people following the announcement, you can give me your page on ebay to see the items you have for sale. thanks I actually don't have any items for sale on Ebay right now. I probably will in a couple of days, but what I meant was that there are 2 video games for another system up for auction on Ebay, and I have placed bids on them to try to win the auctions at nice prices (if I win, I'll consider it a good deal, but I expect to lose the auctions since a lot of people want these games). If and when I lose those auctions, I will still have the money to make you my offer. I have to wait until those auctions are over, though, or at least wait until somebody bids higher than me and makes me out of the running, before I can make you my offer. I don't want to retract the bids I've already placed because I already have an essentially flawless track record on Ebay, and I don't want to do anything that looks negative. I've been waiting for CGE 5th to appear for like a year now, so this offer of yours has me very excited. If somebody beats me to it, then I'll have to wait it out for another offer I guess. On top of that it is a limited production. That is were it gets it's value. It's only valuable I guess to someone wanting a complete collection of everything ever produced on cart. Personally i've collected the retail stuff that shipped whilst the Lynx was sold and added to it whats worth owning. I guess it depends on whether you want to get usage out of these carts or just store them on a shelf.
Michael David Morsette
Perhaps, but perhaps it is more like owning memorabilia. An item that captures the spirit and commemorates an event that, if you were there you like to relive, and if you weren't you wish you could.
