cimerians
http://www.lordbritishpresents.com/ I wonder what this is. I know he was working on an Ultimate RPG....maybe its an announcement for it. Probably an MMO though.

cimerians
No problem. For those interested here is another link to where I discovered this: http://ultimacodex.c...ts-a-countdown/ I love this part: "Oh, and: In case you missed it, Richard Garriott also posted a question to his Google+ profile: Inquiring minds want to know… What were your favorite in box add ins to Origin Games? Cloth maps, coins, stones, radiation detectors, tool kits? Something else?" +Sauron
I'm guessing it's going to be Ultimate RPG. Just unveiling the game will be nice, but I wonder if there's something else to add to the announcement?
Albert
Someone managed to find the following image, related somehow to the "Lord British Presents" site: I had to dig for this image--I swear it was posted on Ultima Codex yesterday (even tweeted), but they appear to have deleted the news item and the tweet!! So, if the image is genuine, looks like it'll be a Kickstarter project. I hope it's not an MMORPG. ..Al
Arkhan
Oh man. I can't wait to kickstart this. I will pee myself. All over the place. I don't even care who knows. I just really hope its not an MMO as well. It needs to not be some social gimp fest
cimerians
I hope it's not an MMORPG. I know, I'm constantly hoping it's not an MMORPG too.
Arkhan
The fact that it's supposed to be for all kinds of platforms (iPads, tablets, phones, browsers) leads me to believe it is going to be some kind of Ville-style RPG. I hope this is incorrect.
+Gemintronic
I'd think after Ultima Online 2 was yanked and Tabula Rasta tanked he'd have enough of those massively booty games.
Arkhan
I'd think after Ultima Online 2 was yanked and Tabula Rasta tanked he'd have enough of those massively booty games. Man, Tabula Rasa was going to be awesome and then somehow it got turned into Guild Wars with guns because of NCSoft. I played Tabula Rasa from Beta to Shutdown, and followed it before it underwent it's revamp. It's a shame NCSoft basically hosed him on the game. On the bright side, NCSoft got hosed back when they got sued by Garriott. After that noise, I dumped all NCSoft related games. Screw those guys. Bunch of nimrods. I think he's got it in him to make a new online game that delivers something that isn't WoW. If there's anyone I'd trust, its him. Tabula Rasa wasn't even bad. The crafting system was kind of dumb, and some of the economy stuff was still fleshing itself out... but hey, I don't care about crafting. the fighting/questing/adventuring/theme of the game kicked ass.

Man, don't get me started on Tabula Rasa. I worked at NCsoft for about 2 1/2 years, all during the development of TR. The early incarnation of the game was vastly different from what was eventually released. Yes, the early articles about the game mentioning the crafting and magic systems made it sound like something really different and great. However, what actually existed prior to the big reboot of the project was NOT. Trust me on this, I actually played several early alphas of the game. What came out was vastly better, although still not that great. There were several big problems with the development of the game that really hindered it from being what we all hoped it would be. While I'm not going to extoll the virtues of NCsoft by any means, the project was desperately in need of rebooting.
+Sauron
On a different note, this image was just posted on Facebook with the following caption: "Think you've decrypted what waits beyond? Are you even traveling in the right direction?" Is it just me, or does that seem reminiscent of Skara Brae?
+Gemintronic
Wont this be directly competing with the new free to play Ultima game? Wont BioWare Mythic be a little peeved?
Hatta
Is "Avatar" trademarked by Bioware? I'm guessing that since both The Last Airbender, and James Cameron's Avatar exist as games that it is not. In that case, however peeved Bioware may be, they have no cause of action against Garriot.

Montor East and Montor West also come to mind.

+Sauron
Interesting. That's definitely not Britannia. Or at least Britannia as we know it. However, I have a sneaky suspicion that this will still be an Ultima game.

Arkhan
This better be a sequel to Ultima Exodus that involves Bobits and Fuzzies. That map looks so similar, it can't possibly be pointing to anything else. Also, whatever is announced, I am blindly flinging money at like a lunatic .
