Bryan
Super Hexagon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sz0mI_6tLQ The motion is totally pre-calcable and it benefits greatly from multiple shades of the same color. This is quite doable on the A8.
Albert
I'd like to do a version of this for the Atari 2600. ..Al
+Stephen
The A8 pulled off Yoomp very well - this should be no problem.
Bryan
Also, there is an open source knock off: http://www.facebook.com/OpenHexagon

José Pereira
Yes 2600 without hexagons but with 'nice' same colour lots of luminances and 90degrees turns. At least would be no problem with the code and name if it's an already Registered one: SQUARON!...
Albert
I'm sure you could do a game that feels close enough to Super Hexagon on the 2600. Especially with the Melody. I bet you could even get some great music in there (I wouldn't even attempt it without a good techno track). http://chipzelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/super-hexagon-ep ..Al

This is quite doable on the A8. What's really the idea of this game? You have that small triangle ship and have to do what? It's always at the most 'inside part'? Found a video that the Tittle is "SUPER HEXAGON: The most difficult game ever?"
Bryan
What's really the idea of this game? You have that small triangle ship and have to do what? It's always at the most 'inside part'? The simple answer is: Don't let the little triangle touch one of the moving lines. As the lines converge on the center, they form a sort of maze that must be navigated. There are a lot of games where the player must steer a ship through scrolling obstacles. The difference is that the game is now wrapped around the center of the screen. +Adam+
So basically this game is similar to Yoomp, but much faster, with no jumping and the direction of tube's movement is inversed?
Bryan
So basically this game is similar to Yoomp, but much faster, with no jumping and the direction of tube's movement is inversed? Yes. You're in the middle, not the outside. This is graphically simpler and much more of a coordination test. It works well with tablets because tablet controls suck and this only has left and right. Dripfree
Just to let you guys know this video got me interested. So I read a little more on the game and ended up paying the $3. It's very addictive I've played for about 2 hours and got a high score of only 28 seconds. Very difficult but even harder to put down.
