I have the Atarimax to load different roms from the same cartridge. Some roms work while some games simply doesn't show sprites. I've made a thread to get more help. But I guess I'm going to buy another Coleco in the coming months. each game is different because each game stresses the colecovision hardware to different levels. That is why some games work and some don't It means something on your coleco is starting to go bad. It can be anything from on/off switch needing cleaning and re-greesing to some vram chip or connection to even power plug. many people can help you fix system especially Yurkie.
