Clay
What about this other Jaguar CD he is also selling, Tech Demo Collection. I have to assume he has done the same; selling freely available demos. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tech-Demo-Collection-Atari-Jaguar-CD-/310935008991?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item48652bb6df
+CyranoJ
Yeah they're both part of the Atari SDK. Grab binary, grab ULS, shit out cash gouge product. Par for the course from this individual. Maybe the other 7 people on his global forum will buy a copy I think I recall seeing the mandelbrot demo in Battlesphere somewhere. Clay
Five years ago when i bought my first Jag I would have been very tempted by these rip offs too. Luckily these fakes only cost a few dollars but now everyone here has become more educated on stuff like this. I've learned to ask here about anything that even has a hint of being fake. I remember the fakes GORFs a couple of years ago that cost someone a lot more money. I would never had thought of questioning its authenticity before that post. That is why I like Atari Age so much. None of the regulars here want to see anyone ripped off and are willing to help authenticate or at least give you their opinion on things like this. NinSEGA
I'm given flak on other sites for pointing out that GoodDealGames is just a counterfeit distributor and how they label their counterfeits as 'homebrew'. A few users got all offended by me pointing this out. One of them even said he reviewed 'their' games and that they are good people. Well no shit you're going to defend them; you have a hand in their shady scheme.I wouldn't be shocked if the douche selling these so-called Jaguar demos is in cahoots with GoodDealGames, too. Good Deal Games sell a lot of stuff in conjunction with homebrew authors - they're one of the best out there for that along with Atari Age and the like. I have only ever found Michael to be helpful, supportive and friendly.

I have only ever found Michael to be helpful, supportive and friendly. The problem with the games that I brought up in those threads is that they are not actually homebrew, but rather just burned CD-Rs of games owned by the likes of Square Enix, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sega, Hasbro, and Warner Brothers; none of which he got the rights from. Released or not; it's blatant copyright infringement and needs to be taken care of.
Guitari
I have this one http://www.digitpress.com/room-of-doom/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=367422 Damn! nice collection! Where can I get one of those bumbags and that mug? want! Those snaps of the '90s Jag exhibition have made my day - I wish I could've gone to such events back the day - check the haircuts too! I notice your DVD case covers for Jetpak and Lost treasures - I wouldn't mind having these two scans (and cd labels?) as I don't have cases for them in my collection - would that be ok? Cheers
high voltage
Sure no problem, I'll do them tomorrow. The bumbag and mug are from the Jagware catalogue, but I bought those from the Jaguar exhibition (see picture 3 Jaguar Owners Club). I was going to buy the Jeans jacket too, it looked pretty cool, but it was GBP 80, bit much, and I had already spend GBP 75 on Tempest and all the other stuff wasn't cheap. I must have spend up to GBP 200 that day, phew....

Not only that, but both trademarks are dead and have been since 1996. http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4804:eit7xh.2.8 http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4804:eit7xh.3.11 More importantly, whether or not Sony has a valid and active trademark on the names has nothing to do with the underlying product which is under copyright. Since Sony never paid the developer for the product and therefore never obtained the rights to distribute the games, Sony would have a very difficult time claiming that the developer licensing those games to a third party (in this case Good Deal Games) violated a copyright which Sony never held. Frankly, you need to stop and stop now as you are literally completely wrong and doing serious damage to a respected company in the collecting and gaming community and potentially creating problems for other companies licensing and selling niche games from defunct publishers and developers.

Doesn't explain why he has stopped selling Star Strike, The Exterminators, and the budget release of The Exterminators. From what I recall, the budget release of The Exterminators would always be available (with a $19.75 price tag) but now it has mysteriously changed to "SOLD OUT". No, but it shows that clearly you know nothing about what you are making claims about. What kind of moronic idiot doesn't understand the difference between a trademark and a copyright? The answer would be you.

bojay1997
Simply typing the name of a publisher in a title screen next to the word copyright doesn't mean that the copyright is valid. I have numerous prototype games in my collection that have the names of publishers with a copyright that never ended up obtaining that copyright and the games were then released by another publisher. That's what happens with unreleased games, especially when the publisher backs out like Sony did in this case by not moving forward with the payments to the developer. You still have failed to provide any proof of your claims. Where are your documents from Sony showing they own either game or made the required payments to the developer?
