Blazing Lazers
http://m.ebay.com/itm/151336506188?cmd=VIDESC It's rare to see boxed Nuon players, and I can't remember the last time I saw a sealed one. The seller must not realize what he has, because there's no way he got to be a top rated seller by saying that shipping labels will be put on the original box. Totally killed my interest in the listing- I hope he'll wise up to what a mistake he's making.. http://m.ebay.com/itm/151336506188?nav=BIDDING_ACTIVE Edited June 26, 2014 by Blazing Lazers
yarjr
lol,Now one time I shipped a famiclone in its original box but even then I had the decency to wrap it in shipping paper. I guess this guy has never heard of shipping paper.
chas10e
if I was interested in buying , I ask if he'd wrap in brown paper or something
Albert
At least you'd be getting advance warning from that seller! I've received items in the past that have simply had shipping labels applied to the product's box, as opposed to the item being sent in a separate box. I've also had items shipped in "shipping paper" as opposed to a box. Might as well not even waste the time/money of using that paper, since it does nothing to protect the item! Many sellers are extremely cheap and will do anything to save a buck when it comes to shipping, unfortunately. ..Al
yarjr
For the record the famiclone box I used shipping paper on was already a piece of junk.
+save2600
People are just too stupid anymore. I'd have at least put brown paper wrap around it before slapping the shipping label on.
20ohm20
It's gotten so bad on eBay in the last couple years, I have to ask every single seller what they're shipping their items in and using which method. If they don't answer, I don't buy. Which doesn't make any difference if they just lie anyways. I received a long, rambling message on eBay a few days ago from a seller that was enraged that I asked him to refund me the $3.90 postage due on the Intellivision cartridges he sent me using USPS media mail instead of the USPS first class that *all* of his auctions show. At this point I'm thinking about just boxing these things back up and opening a case against him. And I won't even use the recycled, heavily worn bubble envelope he used to ship them to me. Mayhem
Oddly enough, this is what happened to the N501 I won... it was shipped as-is with the label on the box too.
Blazing Lazers
Anyone know who the g***u(1494) is who bid the unit up from $55 to $110 and from there to $165 and still didn't win? Or who the l***c(1822) is who went from $170 all the way up to $235? I have a difficult time fathoming why such bids would be placed with such a huge red flag in the description. It would be most unfortunate to spend this much on a new unit and ave it arrive with shipping labels all over it...

I have no idea, but how do you know they didn't message the seller and offer to pay the extra money for a proper box? I've done that before and the sellers I have worked with have been more than happy to oblige as long as I cover the difference. In addition, some people don't care about the box and just want a NOS player. In any event, why does it matter to you either way why people bid what they bid? Well, in this case Nuon is one of the three collections I've been trying to finish off, and I'm worried that resellers might be getting into it like happiestsellerever has with Channel F carts and driving prices up to the point where it will be a long long while before I'll be able to get the last few things I need- a boxed or NIB system in this case. You're probably right about them having worked a better shipping arrangement with the seller- there's no way somebody would throw down that much money without ensuring that the shipping is done properly. yarjr
Ive actually had someone lower their insane shipping fee on ebay before I bid so yeah its possible they made other arragements for shipping via a PM. It happens.I hope thats whats happening anyway If these are real bids. Could be that someones just not reading the description thoroughly i.e. stupid.
