As a bonus each pick up to three games from all the releases from last year (yes they can be the same ones as other players). PICK one game from the top #15, one game with 0 points (#43 onwards) and one in between (#16 to #42). Here's the competition's Results Table Downloads - The Atariage KK thread has a ZIP file with all the games (ATR/XEXs) and individual games links; or the official post on Atarionline.pl where you can use the translate button and download the games. Fandal has most of the games too Homesoft have file versions of many of the games: Asteroidz on Disk #403 Scoring - standard HSC points for Galaga and Asteroidz. 2pts for each bonus game and perhaps some bonuses for significant achievements. Press Option to change the graphics forgot to say NO AUTOFIRE of course Had a bash at "Alien 8" figured out a few screens but didn't seem to collect anything (aside from a few bruises)... can push things and the controls are good hold fire to jump further and turn and jump even from disappearing platforms... will find the docs... HERE on Wikipedia "130XE (or better) strongly recommended" - cool as It's my baby, game is quite slick considering the graphics "press CTRL+SHIFT+S at the game over screen for unlimited lives and time" very tempting @rr Helicops supports the multijoy device so you can play 4 players vs each other on the XL/XE. Not sure about single player. Think that was last year's compo (2012s crop) This is going to be a standard 2 week round, if you want to try/play more games then please do - trying to keep things fair so how about an additional bonus 1pt per game played with a maximum of 5pts for the top three players and up to 10pts for everyone else? I'll get the poll on tomorrow for the L games; suprisingly there were quite a few that I didn't know that look interesting so I'd like to check them out first. Also with a simple theme played Race Against Time (BASIC), Simlar to Speedway One, technically nice and good sounds and graphics but unfortunately similarly frustrating to play Luckily the course is short to complete 56.55 Munching Mandy - really nice looking pac-man game with a tall playfield; the ghosts are very fast but do track your movement so there might be more to this than you first think - seems to dish out way too many extra men (women) to compensate for the difficulty so the game became a bit too easy 172,200 when I retired - perhaps playing a few more levels it would even out Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kiki Pong - 30 - nicely done children's game. Oxygen For Life - 750ish - Might be fun if it were faster Asteroidz - 2380 - This will require practice, harder than Asteroids. If some poples like this game - maybe I'll write "plus" version, with redefinition of chars and little faster, and, I think - with more levels. And I was getting into Centment before I realized it wasn't keeping track of my score or number of lives. When I was playing level 9 the screen started changing colors as if it was in screen saver mode. If so, I need to practice more) My other +5 bonus points. Munching Mandy - Got bored after scoring 600k with more lives than could be displayed. Pretty sure I could roll this if I was so inclined. The ghosts can easily be trapped where you want them, but a couple sections of the map are vitally important to collect the dots while you are invincible. Heli In The Caves - An exploring shooter. You can upgrade you heli (which is very important). Some exits are kind of hidden because the vines aren't really a blocking part of the background. You have a fuel gauge that you need to worry about, so you need the efficency upgrade pretty early. X:8 - Didn't make it very far in this shooter (3rd Level). A decent shooter with wide variety of power-ups. Very few enemy types, just wall shooters and 3-4 ships that fly in the same patterns and don't seem to be very different from each other. No "boss" ships like Salamander/Life Force. RollTris - An interesting variant of Tetris. You have no control over where the blocks fall, or which blocks fall. Instead you control the rows of blocks (shifting them right/left) that have already fallen, and need to line up the holes when the new pieces come in. Invasion from Excrex - I didn't quite get this game. You can increase your percentage to 50% and the level doesn't end. It gets way to hard to dodge the skulls/mushrooms and the booty shifts way to fast making you collide and lose percentage. Not as bad as Another Stupid Game (no reset?), but not much better. I love Boulderdash but Robbo never really did it for me. So much to play so little time... Sumator probably left the attract mode on - amazing how many programmers forget to turn this off! M.Mandy - agreed X:8 the guys are still working on a final version (I was doing some testing for them a few months ago) the game really has potential but it needs that final putting together to offer repeat play RollTris - neat idea but too hard when things get tought to recover compared to regular tetris Excrex - I think it's just the highest % at any one time ...DevWar - Too hard to control the ship Heli Cops - Too hard to control the helicopter! Heli in the Caves - Heli needs a weapons upgrade! DevWar - is completable (not too tough for you) sort of float steadily and shoot Heli In the Caves E.E. - you work on the upgrades bit by bit, get cash buy item repeat - neat is entering the "shops" saves your progress each time. Looks like everyone is having fun trying out the new games so let's extend this round until 10am Sunday 20th July and add Asteroidz [Homesoft have file version on Disk 403] as another main game Galaga 111,640 Really liking this game, when the tractor beam gets one of your ships you can shoot it back down and have some double ship action - probably can deliberately get caught (not on your last ship!) though I've only had it once.
