toptenmaterial
I fired up the ol' PSP 3000 tonight and my SNES games ran poop-ier than I remember. Pilotwings was impossibly slow and Super Mario World had some wonky sound and color palette issues, though it played smooth. Turtles In Time ran great. What's a good default setting for some of the more demanding games? Thanks!
goldenegg
SNES is a tough system to emulate and the PSP doesn't really have the horsepower that's required to do it properly.

On my hacked Wii the SNES emulation is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing- to me, anyhow.

toptenmaterial
You realize the Wii is many times more powerful than the PSP, right? Yeah yeah. Really more of just an off topic reflection. I did read recently that a good way to get SNES games running reasonably well on PSP is to display the frame rate, then mess with the frame skip settings (between 0-3) until you get about 60 fps. I do recall playing more powerful mode 7 games on the PSP once but I could be wrong.
