I think it is not clear what do you mean with overscan. More than 192 scan lines? Normally I would say that games applying the wide mode use overscan (like 'Blue Max')!? "Ballblazer", "BC Quest of Tires", "Super Cobra", "Airstrike II", "Sea Dragon", "Aztec Challenge" are the titles I've just checked in very brief investigation: Take any scroller and it seems you have a 50% chance that is uses overscan.
